***** ******* w/ Broken RV Mobile Repair did improper/incomplete repair to camper & caused addt'l damage on 10/16/24. Asked if he was pressure washing roof. Said no, uses cleaner. When finished, only thing could see from ground was sealant coming up ladder rail. Said he put sealant over old sealant (not the case). Told me I could not go on roof for at least 24 hrs. Asked if I could use some leftover sealant to try to paint clean line around ******* agreed. He mentioned that buyer would mostly be concerned w/ the seals & awning before telling me had to meet granddaughter for dinner & left. From ladder could see big lump where he put foam. My understanding was foam would be underneath, but roof would still be flat. Saw he got sealant on a/c ************ covers, left footprints, & sealed over leaves. Contacted ***** same day of repair w/ issues. Said he was going to be out of town 2 wks & would address concerns when got back. In meantime, discovered still soft spot on ********* cut branch cracking ac vent below. Reached out to ***** 3 wks later. Ignored text, call, & vm until threatened legal action. Claimed hadn't returned to **, doubled down on terrible work & refused to issue refund. Suspect he was buying time until the $1,500 check made payable to him directly cleared. Also, strip of tacky tar was on deck of camper day he was there that my ********* stepped on & tracked inside camper. Initially thought he was using tar as part of roof repair. I have since had tech look at mess he made. I was told there should never have been foam inserted under roof membrane & should never have painted roof w/ sealant. Tech also pointed out he painted sealant over rubber stripping that is meant to be removable & painted sealant on all flaps on top of slides, preventing them from functioning. **** also indicated all of the tops of bulb seals appeared to be damaged from petroleum based roof cleaner. Now have to replace bulb seals & vent cover bc of damage he caused.Business Response

Miss ****** contact me regarding dealing her ** roof
Prior to arrival I informed her of service fee an cost an gave her an over the phone description of the work, she stated that she doesnt know much about **s and bought this ** to live in and remodel, but the project was bigger than what she expected. She had a former ******* out there to do some work for her and he referred her to me to seal the roof as a preventive maintenance when I had arrived, I did a complementary walk around for her to give her some ideas and suggestions cause she stated she wanted to sell it the former ** Tech, who was there before recommended to her to seal the roof as a preventive maintenance he stated to her that she would need to cut some trees down to prevent leaves and tree limbs from getting on the ** or move the ** to an open area
Prior to starting the job, I informed her of the procedures and the process that would take place the roof had to be cleaned and prepped the product that I used to clean and prep it is non-damaging to the roof is simply green non-hazardous material And the ceiling product is blue seal, which is designed to seal rubber roofs and roll rules. Both these products can be found at ***********
Pictures were taken before I started midway and after the job was complete and they were sent to her during the process, and after the process, she had a soft spot near the air conditioner. That was there prior to my arrival, and it was discussed with the formal ** Tech about using spray foam to seal the area as a preventive maintenance. She concurred and agreed when I was finished I instructed her not to walk on it for 48 hours to give it time to dry.
Her comment about the seals and Awning not sure what she means. I was there to seal the roof as a courtesy. I did a walk around for her told her in my opinion if somebody was to buy this from her, they would be more concerned with the awning and the seals for the slide in
Ask for damaging any skylights or AC covers pictures were taken and sent to her and they were dated and time stance. She stated she had another ******* come out there and recommending the skylights be replaced based on the year of the unit they probably should be replaced, but as I stated, I was there to seal her roof as a preventive maintenance. I have pictures that are available before and after I stated to her that I would be out of state for some time and when I got back if she had an issue, I had no problem coming back and addressing them, but there would be a fee for my return visit, but when she started becoming confrontational And questioning my integrity An experience and the other ** Tech experience
Im not sure what talking about a tar Bass product as she stated when I arrived, she doesnt know much about **s and out of respect. I just listen to her. Should the other ** Tech the third one that shes had out there like to contact me I have no problem talking with him and discussing my process and procedures. Feel free to contact me.
Thank you in Advance

I am rejecting this response because: It is full of lies. I did not contact *****. I contacted the other RV tech ***** is referring to - **** w/ A-Z Mobile ********** about soft spot on my RV roof caused when ******* Pros replaced a/c unit. Thought only option was to replace roof, but **** suggested over phone to fill soft spot cavity with foam to ****** it back up & seal roof, which I thought was because of the pin-sized hole **** said he would need to make in the roof membrane. **** was not there to do "some work". He charged $100.00 to assess the soft spot next to a/c unit before scheduling the repair & said a/c should be "torked" and tightened it to point it's bowing, which I pointed out to ***** when he was there, but he said it was fine so didn't touch it. **** told me to trim the branches hanging over roof, which I did with exception of a few thick branches I told him I would need a chainsaw for & thought he could work around. My 5th wheel is stationary on blocks on the property. Moving it to open area was never suggested by either of them nor an option. **** was unable to do the repair & referred me to his friend ***** and passed my info to him. ***** contacted me 10/15/24, leaving a VM & I returned his call. I explained the issue with the soft spot on the roof and confirmed he knew how to properly fix it. He did not explain the process and other than telling me he charges more than ****, told me he would honor the $1,500.00 I was quoted & also told me I didn't need to be there. The next day he let me know when he was on his way & I met him at the property. I ASKED HIM if he was going to pressure wash the roof like **** was. He said no, uses a cleaner & asked where the hose was. I was planning to do some things inside my camper but ***** again stated I didn't need to be there so hung out in my sister's house. I didn't know he cut the tree limbs until days later when I realized they weren't there & saw damage a/c vent directly beneath. Didn't know he wasn't removing/taping off a/c shells & vent covers until saw the sealant all over them. Didn't know he was putting sealant on the slide outs roofs until after he did it (when I pointed out my concerns, he stated he did the slides free of charge, as if that made up for the botched repair and sloppy job)I renovated interior by myself before I started staying in it as I was using it as a temporary residence. The interior looks professionally done (which ***** complimented me on), unlike my roof after it was done. No idea what ***** is talking about with project being bigger than what I thought. Yes, I'm not familiar with RV's, nor do I know how to properly repair or replace an RV roof, which is why I hired what I thought at the time was a professional that did. He does not acknowledge that fact that the soft spot on my roof he was hired to repair is still not repaired. The roof now looks visibly damaged where he overfilled with foam, leaving lumps, and at the same time, failed to fill a portion of it at all, leaving soft spot. **** confirmed he should not have left the roof lumpy. Also fails to acknowledge the leaves he rolled over & sealed in place bc too lazy to move, footprints HE LEFT in wet sealant, etc. Wanted to sell my camper right after roof repair while looked nice. Instead, waiting weeks for ***** to return to ** to address concerns like said he would, followed by him ignoring my attempts to reach out, & soon became clear never planned to return. NOR DID HE EVER SAY HE WAS GOING TO CHARGE ME A FEE TO RETURN. In meantime, sealant now has stains all over & paying every month camper sits on property. Told ***** if he was unable or unwilling to complete repair & address concerns, I'd need refund so I could hire someone that could, which is exactly what I am now having to do. I had swept the roof of all 4 slideouts before pulling them in when hurricane ****** was approaching. The only damage to a seal I saw was a small slit in the bedroom seal. ***** mentioned as he was getting ready to leave, if he was buyer he would mostly be concerned with the seals. As I thought he was talking about the slit I had seen, I told him I was thinking of patching it w/ Flex Seal. He said that would make it worse & stated he replaces seals also, but I could prob watch a ******* video & do it myself. Only after he was there did I notice a gooey tar substance, & only after the ******* not affiliated with these 2 advised that the tops of the bulb seals appeared to be damaged by petroleum-based roof cleaner, did it make sense to me that it was the material breaking down. Tech also pointed out ***** put sealant over the flap of the seal that is supposed to let the slide move in and out freely. No one has recommended replacing the skylight (it was replaced by the dealer when purchased in Oct 2022), so no clue what he's talking about. ALL of the before pictures, during the process pictures, and after pictures he took were all texted to me AT THE SAME TIME once he was done. The before and after pictures also confirm damage to a/c vents that he must have stepped on corners & snapped off. Everything can be substantiated by text exchanges & photos, however it won't let me attach them. - **** ******Customer Answer

I want to attach all the text correspondence but it only lets me attach 5. I also need to provide photos but reached the attachment limit. I will see if it lets me submit more once I submit these. Otherwise, is there an email address so I can provide all the supporting documentation to you?Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because:Attached is the text exchange in its entirety with ***** ******* with Broken RV Mobile Repair. He sent all the "before", "during", and "after" pictures all at once when he was finished, which I glanced at as I walked outside to meet him and also don't show the extent or detail of the failed job he did. I don't know why he lied and said he sent me pictures during the process. He also never went over the process as he only answered questions I asked, one of which was confirming he knew how to do this repair that **** recommended. Nor did he ask my permission to cut the thick branches that I told **** (the guy that referred me to him) he could work around and ultimately crashed down on the a/c vent below it. When he was done, I wanted to look at it while he was there but he told me I couldn't go up for ***** hrs to make sure it was dry. (Ironically, he had already walked through the wet sealant leaving footprints in it himself). I asked if I could at least try to fix the paint he had all over the ladder rail. After he left, when I climbed up the ladder, I saw the lump left from overfilling the soft spot with foam, the painted sealant he got on all my vent and a/c covers, and some footprints left from him. He told me he would address my concerns when he returned to *******. Followed by him not returning my voicemail and ignoring my text. At which point I demanded a refund and threatened legal action. At no point did he say he was charging me an additional fee to come back to fix his sloppy work and finish the job as there is still a soft spot so he lied about that also. And the soft spot was the only thing I was concerned about when it came to the roof to begin with and now is still not resolved. Once I was able to go up on the roof was when I realized there was still a soft spot, leaves painted in to the sealant, and rubber seals he painted the sealant over. He also took it upon himself to sloppily paint the slideouts, including painting over the seals that are meant to be free to allow the slides to move in and out. A complete botched job. Thank you for your help.
Sincerely,
**** ******
