      April 21, 2025 Purchased BAHIA grass from Quality Sod on ******************, ** ************ Total of $6,250.I had my ****************************** come May 2nd. The PRODUCT SOLD IS NOT BAHIA FOR THE TOTAL ****** is a Mixture of Weeds, Dollar Weeds, and some Bahia etc. The grass paid for IS NOT what was installed. I was not familiar with what it Should look like. It was a not a good job. They just threw it down just so it looked like it was installed. They also just took handfuls of scrap weeds and dirt and threw it down on holes to patch empty spaces.I am totally dissatisfied.I "thought" it would look better after settling into the ground a ******** did not. I want a refund to remove the excessive Weeds. IT WAS Not Bahia GRASS. There were Excessive Weeds. To have it treated for the excessive weeds will be $300 for it to be Healthy.They presented a product that was a very Poor BAHIA mix and installed it with some Bahia and alot of filler weeds.I did contact them, and was told Bahia has weeds. The owner did not respond. His manager, *****, did explain ***** has weeds. My complaint is that the Quality of their ***** was POOR and had Excessive WEEDS, which is NOT GRASS.Thank you for your service provided.

      We got an estimate from Quality sod to lay new sod over bare ground where we had previous flower beds removed. We paid deposit of half and scheduled work date of 4-26-2024. We made this appt on 4-12-2024. We had previously hired a front end loader to remove the excess soil from old beds and explained to quality sod that we would be grading it level by hand before the appt on 4-26. While we were at a doc appt on 4-18-2024 Quality sod came and did a bad job laying sod in the area discussed 9 days early with no phone call to ok the new time. The ground was not leveled and graded yet. They took it upon themselves to just put down 5 pallets while we were gone. I called them immediately on 4-18-2024 at 4 pm upon arrival at home and explained they needed to come remove the sod immediately so we could get the ground graded down and level. And that we wanted to keep the promised date on 4-26. The owner called and I explained we didnt want discount or refund we wanted the job promised on the 26th. He said hed send someone out Friday the 19th. No one showed so I called back. The owner said he was just going to refund the deposit minus 250 for sprinkler work but they wouldnt come remove the sod. We want sod removed so that we can prepare the ground properly. The install was not authorized to be done early. Had they not laid sod, the level grading would have been done 4-19 & 4-20. We are stuck with 5 pallets of sod that should not be here, and no way to remove to get grading work done and Quality sod is refusing to remove it. Owner did admit that he should have called prior to install to insure we were ready. He admitted it was as his mistake. I appreciate that he wants to refund the deposit but that doesnt solve the sod issue. Can you make them remove the sod?

      We were contracted to do irrigation and sod installation by ******************.  We completed the irrigation work in the morning and completed the sod installation that same afternoon.  No where on the contract does it say that the homeowner needed time to grade the areas to be sodded.   We did exactly as we were contracted to do, but to resolve ********************** issue and in good ****** We refunded the job in full minus the irrigation work.

      I am rejecting this response because:
      We told ***** that we would be grading the area and we were scheduled for sod on April 27,2024. ***** was very well aware that we needed to level and grade. He even double checked that we would have the piles of bark mulch gone. We would have had everything completed by that date or before. When appointment was scheduled we were told two weeks out for appointments and should they have an earlier date open, they would call and to see if we were ready. I even told receptionist that , time was great because we had more work to do. Owner said it was his mistake not to call  


      NO REFUND has been recieved. 
      Had we been called prior to them installing the sod 9 days early, we would have rescheduled. Had we been home , we would have refused the install and we would not have let them drive their heavy loader over our septic area. 

      I never asked for a refund, I asked several times for them to remove the sod, let us get the work done and thenthey could reinstall on date as promised. Or if they didnt want to do the reinstall, they could refund. 
      we worked 3 months, very hard trying to create a back yard we would love. Now we are stuck with sod laid in such a way that our back yard is not our dream yard. 
      again no refund recieved. And we want them to remove the sod so we can grade the area to our liking as was planned when ***** made his estimate.

      this is not about my concerns. 
      this is about your obligations of contract. Which was to install sod on 4-26-2024. Which is tomorrow. 
      A refund does not remove the sod which should NOT have been laid until tomorrow. Not 9 days early and before prep work( grading) was completed. 
      technically you did not fulfill obligations in that your ads says always green always fresh. This was half dead/yellow/crunchy sod. 
      the only resolution is to remove sod so we can complete the yard as we planned.

      This company installed a partially dead, very lumpy, not graded properly, and gappy ******* lawn in our yard in April of 2023. The owner said that he the only thing he would do is replace the parts of the grass that were dead and didnt come back. I had to repeatedly ask for that to happen to which he always said that he would. Then he ghosted. In August 2023 when I wanted partial payment back to get service from a different company,the owner threatened a lien on the property but that he would drop off sod for us to replace ourselves(he also rescinded this offer in a tantrum later that day).I would like a partial refund of $2000 for the dead sod. I do not feel safe working with this company any further.

      ******* can be a very demanding sod to maintain and with no irrigation system it is completely up to the homeowner to water the new sod.  This didn"t happen and the result in the beginning is brown areas.  The good news is ******* is very resilient and now with the rains the ******* lawn looks 100% better.  The pics attached by customer were within 1 week of install with no watering by the homeowner, the pics attached here is present day.  It is important to note, there is no underground irrigation system in place despite our best efforts to inform the customer that is the most important part to the success of any variety of sod.  No refund or partial refund is due, we have honored our part of the agreement.

      I am rejecting this response because: 

      The business owners response is not accurate. The photos that I shared were from the install.  We had been diligently watering the new sod as reflected in our $400 water bills for the following two months after install.  We would not spend $540 on new sod and not water it. That is a ridiculous claim. 
      The sod was installed dead, thats why the owner agreed to replace it if it "didnt bounce back", which it didnt.
      This business did not fulfill the contract because there was so much dead sod installed and never replaced.

      His photos are deceptive. Photos from far away make the grass look ok. Photos up close clearly show the grass is in trouble. These photos Im submitting were taken today.

      Quality Sod does not install dead sod,  The pictures are areas of the lawn that did not get water right away, the sod will turn brown very quickly (within 24 hrs in the ******* heat) without water.    Without an irrigation system, it will be difficult to keep grass in pristine condition.   There is nothing further Quality Sod can offer at this time.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      The owner of this business has acknowledged that part of the grass installed needed to be replaced(see attached text messages, grass.pdf). Regardless of his story about water and irrigation now, he agreed in text that he would deliver the replacement grass. He never did, therefore this contract was never fulfilled. Text messages hold ** in court.  I am trying my best to resolve this before having to go to small claims and waste even more time and effort on the issue. This owner has threatened me and made me so uncomfortable that, understandably, I do not wish to work with this company any longer to have replacement grass installed. I just want a refund on what he said that he would replace and didn't.

      Hi: This is regarding the *** installation on my property by Quality Sod & Landscape solutions LLC based out in *********** **. The manager is *****************: The sod installation happened in May 2022. By June end/early July, we raised our initial concern, which is like a month after the *** installation and it is very obvious that one will know the quality of the sod one month after the installation. We have all documentations regarding the installation and communications. The lawn is now in a pathetic condition. I had 2 reputable lawncare specialists review my lawn and they both came to the conclusion that the installation of the sod quality was bad that caused the problem. The installer (Quality Sod) is defending that we contacted them after a year. This is absolutely baseless. Since the installation was done through our builder, we reached out them as soon as we found the issues with the lawn. The attached pictures clearly shows that the lawn contained more weed than grass. We want the installer to resod with real genuine top quality ************* sod rather than install weed. A quick amicable solution is desired at this time.

      Its imperative new sod gets watered as soon as the sod is installed.  unfortunately, the new sod went several days without water after installation and that is what caused the problem in the beginning.  From there you must maintain your lawn with proper mowing, watering and treatment.  Sorry we couldn't help you with a resolution.

      I am rejecting this response because whatever the manager **** is stating is not true and correct.  The weeds in the lawn as you can see in the pictures started appearing soon after installation and we reported to the builder that the installation did not meet our expectations and we wanted a solution/fix to the problem.  Watering and lawn care has never been an issue.  We consulted couple of other installers  and they unanimously came to the conclusion that unfortunately bad sod was installed in the first place.  Our lawn used to look one of the best in the neighborhood and we never raised any issue with either the builder or the initial sod installer for 10 years and you may wonder why we have this issue now - if you need a testimony on that, we can provide that from our neighbors as well.  The installers didn't do a good job at all and never even cared to reach out to let us know that the installation is complete, and needless to say there was no after care instructions either verbally or by leaving a note on the door, even though we were at the home all day long.  Nevertheless, since we have been maintaining the lawn for 10+ years, we exactly knew how to take care of the lawn.  Despite all this, the weeds were very powerful and started destroying the lawn.   

      We strongly believe that the sod was of bad quality and demand a proper resolution.

      Quality Sod and Landscaping Solutions willfully installed below-substandard sod. The current state of that lawn is unsafe, a person cannot walk on the sod due to the distorted form of the grass furthermore the product was dead on arrival. Several companies have come out to access the product and the consensus is that the lawn will most likely not revive and that the unevenness or lumpiness can only be remediated by replacing the sod. This product is unsafe and requires replacement.
