I am writing to bring to your attention an unfortunate experience I encountered in the summer of 2023 during my recent relocation from ******* to *******, for which Community Van Lines was responsible. Regrettably, several of my belongings were either damaged or lost during the process. Throughout the relocation, I was provided with assurances that efforts were underway to locate the missing items. Despite these assurances, my belongings were not recovered. Upon seeking guidance from Community Van Lines, I was directed to file a claim through Movingclaims.net to seek compensation for my losses. I was told this was my only course of action. Upon diligently adhering to the required protocol, I completed the necessary forms and incurred expenses to have them notarized. However, I must express my frustration with the process I encountered on the Movingclaims.net website. Navigating through the site proved to be arduous and time-consuming due to numerous advertisements and a lack of efficient information retrieval mechanisms. Each visit to inquire about my claim necessitated the repetitive input of identical information, consuming valuable time and resources. Eventually, I was informed that Community Van Lines had reached a settlement regarding my claim, and a reimbursement of $125 was promised to be issued to me via mail. Despite my persistent attempts to communicate with ****** at Community Van Lines through various means, including multiple written email correspondences and numerous phone calls, I have not received any acknowledgment or response from this company.Furthermore, Moving Claims, the intermediary in this process, has informed me via email that they are unable to offer any further assistance in this matter. Given the lack of communication and resolution, I am left with no choice but to escalate this issue. Hence, I am seeking assistance from the Better Business Bureau (BBB) to facilitate the resolution of this outstanding settlement payment.
