August of2023 I was on my computer when something started to happen. It made an alarm sound so I assumed it been hacked. So I called the number on the screen and they said they could fix it for $448. They asked that I send a check to Devine Mart and that I take it to the post office for quick delivery. I didnt think much about it until I got a call from a lady calling herself *************************. She called 5 months later telling me they were going to charge my account $6300 every year and the only way to cancel I needed to be near my computer. When I told ************************* I was going to call the police for scamming me she told me she didnt care and that she was going to charge my account $6300 every year and that they were going to put me on auto renewal and the only way to cancel i needed to be near my computer. Shes been calling and I have all her voicemail messages stating how shes going to take the money out of my account. I dont appreciate her constantly calling and making threats. Someone needs to do something about that scamming business and stop trying to take peoples money. I want to know whats going to be done about it.

My wifes iPad locked up with a screen that said we had been hacked. The message had an Apple icon, the name Quick ********, and a phone number to get assistance. We called the number and were told our network had been hacked. We gave them access to our computer and they showed us graphic *********** and said it was the hackers. They offered a one-time fix of our system for $349. They gave us a post office box number in *********** (PO Box 380, ****************** *****), and a merchant name of ** KART LLC. They were insistent on us showing them the completed written out check before we mailed it. We sent the check, and a few days later it came back, Return to Sender Undeliverable. We stopped payment on that check. We started getting harassing calls daily claiming we would incur penalties if we didnt pay. They gave us a different address to send another check. This time it was a street address in *********** (************************************, ** *****) and this was also returned as undeliverable by the **** ************ We looked up the address in *********** it was a **** ************ Our fear is these hackers dont want a check for $349 they want to extract more, and perhaps much more in penalties. Phone numbers we have seen associated with this issue:*****************-***************-***************-************ (possible)We want the harassment to stop! Can you help or tell us what we need to do.

This company hacked my computer on 11/21/2023. When I opened my computer I found a pop-up that stated it was from Apple and that my computer had been taken over and to call the number on the pop-up. Being concerned, I called the number. A man named **** took remote control of my computer and froze my accounts. He demanded $2,300 to repair my computer. When I told him I needed to verify him and his company, he threatened me with physical violence and said he would ruin my computer and clean out my bank accounts. I reached the real ************* and they told me this company Quick Help 24*7 aka WestPrice LLC is a scam company that has bilked thousands of their customers out of millions of dollars. The real Apple technician took charge of my computer and restored control of it. As a senior citizen, this is one of the most traumatic experiences of my life. As a result, I don't feel safe and I can't sleep. In addition, the company proceeded to telephone me over 62 times during the day.

On October 24, 2023, I was working on my laptop, on a site that I visit regularly and that ****** always approves. Suddenly, a pop-up, talking message appeared on my screen. I tried to delete, back arrow out, etc. All to no avail. The message stated that my computer had been infected and instructed me to call the number on my screen. The phone number shown was ************. The message also boasted a ********* affiliation. Feeling vulnerable, I called the number. I was told that my laptop was infected and that their business (Quick-Help 24/7) could resolve my problem. The representative requested access to my computer, which I granted, and didn't feel threatened by initially since I've had that done a couple of times before with reputable companies. The representative became pushy and rude, which should have given me pause immediately. But I was very concerned about my personal info and records within my laptop accounts. The conversation quickly became a pressurized sales pitch, with me agreeing to a post-dated electronic payment of $250 the following week, which the rep even set up. The $250 was for one year of virus protection. Afterwards, I had a gut feeling that something was very strange/off about the whole situation. I then called them back and asked if they were indeed *********-affiliated. The rep dodged the question. The next day, I called them back again and advised them that I was no longer interested in their assistance and that I wanted to cancel my business with Quick-Help 24/7. I was advised that I could not do so because they had already "done the work" and because I had signed an e-document, agreeing to their "contract" . I NEVER received or signed any such email, which I told them. I stated that I wasn't going to pay them because their business is a fraudulent scam. I was threatened with their legal department. I believe this company infected my computer, implanted a scam message, and tried to have me pay them to fix a problem they created.

Like many on this string, my computer was hacked in February and only one phone number provided to unlock it claiming they were contracted by apple. The name of the company they claimed was quick help 24 7. I was told the service was 399 and I stupidly paid it. Yesterday I received a call telling me that my lifetime service contract from a company of a different name called Devine Martwas renewing at **** and if I wanted to get out of it I had to *******.immediately through my bill pay or by mailing a check which I stupidly did and then put a stop on it. I got a call from someone purpurting to be a manager and it was his direct line that he only answered and wouldn't go to voicemail when he didn't. I argued with him that I wanted a customer service line to prove that they were a real company and after five calls to him during which he yelled at me finally came me a number that wasn't an 800 number and wasn't always answered and had no message mail or company recording associated with it. I stupidly allowed him to access my computer to remove the security software they allegedly installed in February and am now freaked out that they are a scam as others have reported and am in the process of changing my passwords and shutting down all my financial accounts. Per BBB's own investigation -- which I'm sorry I didn't look at first before paying 399 in February and harassment from the company which keeps changing names and phone numbers now. I never signed any contract or received an invoice for the "work" done allegedly in February to unlock my hack which clearly was done by them.

I received a pop up on my computer stating that my PC was locked and the only way to fix it was to call ********* at the given phone number. Once I called, the technician asked for remote access so that they could troubleshoot the problem. They told me that my entire home net work had been hacked, and that we needed to hang up and they would call me back on a secure line so that the hackers would not know that we were trying to fix the problem. They ran several different commands and they asked me to log into my email and my bank account to see if there was anything missing from my account. When they had remote control I noticed they went into my email and sent an email from me to their company stating I was satisfied with their work, and that I give permission for them to charge me for the work they did. But it wasnt until we went through all the troubleshooting that they then told me that it was going to cost me $499 for them to fix the problem. I told them I did not have that kind of money and that they could see that I did not have that kind of money because my bank account was open on my computer and they could see exactly what I had in my bank account so they insisted that the fix was already in progress and since the work was already being done that I would have to pay for it and they agreed to drop the charge to $299 and because I didnt have even that much in my bank account, they told me to send them a post dated check . I have not sent the check because I begin to think that maybe it was all a scam. But now I am worried that they can get back into my computer or that they have all my personal important information already. And Im not sure what I need to do to protect myself.

On about August 3rd a window popped up on my computer warning me about a virus attack; it included a phone number to get help. I couldn't close that window, I was effectively locked out of my computer. I called the number in order to resolve the issue. I allowed quickhelp **** to take control of my computer, during which time they installed their software and required a $300 payment. The next day I took my computer to a computer repair company, they removed the "spyware" that quickhelp had installed (at a cost of $130). I then had to close my bank account and open a new one; it took a week to resolve changes necessitated by that change. I never sent quickhelp that money. They're now harassing me for payment and threatening use of a "collection team". 2 questions, 1. How can I get them off my back?, and 2. How can they be allowed to persist in this scam?
