******** from Better Tree Service was on the vacant property next door 7/24 stating that he was evaluating tree pruning of large live oak that has limbs that are half on our property. He stated that the tree needed pruning all over to make it stable. We had paid the entire amount to have it pruned the last time, but now had new owners and a developer was involved. We found out from the city of ************** that the developer involved is Sun Bay Builders. The owner is unknown by us and he did not mention the owner. We requested that the $600 be negotiated down, since that was the cost to have the entire tree done before. **** responded that he would ask. The tree service arrived the next day and began work without discussing the fee with us. When asked, we were told that the developer "would not budge on the price." Work began without a firm obligation from us. The tree service left without giving us a receipt of any kind for the $600 check my husband wrote. I called *************************** the next day and requested a receipt for the entire job and our part. He asked why he should give me that info. I stated that the tree was half on our property- He hung up on me (******). ******** called my husband, *****, the next day and stated that he would email a receipt- no receipt has been received from that company. We feel like the business was conducted in an unprofessional and disrespectful manner.

As she stated, theres a tree on the property line half the tree goes over her property. The other half goes over an empty lot. I was hired by the developer to Elevate the tree over the empty lot. At the time I came to inspect the tree I walked next-door and knocked on the door because they requested to the developer that they wanted some tree work done. When I inspected Tree with her husband, we agreed that they have not trimmed the tree on their side of the property for about four years maybe five the tree was very overgrown, and I suggested that it would be good for the tree to prune it on both sides. The original price to trim the tree on their side of the property was $800. I gave them $100 discount for leaving the mulch with them and another hundred dollar discount out of good faith . Which brought the bill to $600. Im not sure why she feels like somebody that never live next-door should owe her any money for trimming a tree over her property. that just doesnt make sense to me or her husband that told her that during our group discussion . Beautiful The final bill ended up being $600. Her husband agreed that that was a fair price in willingly wrote me a check with no issues issues. This is the first me hearing that they never received the receipt which I will resend to them and ask for confirmation that they received it. Im not sure why she feels entitled to know what the bill was for the neighbor, but it was much higher than her bill. Whats Over her property is her business and we agreed to the price of 800$ which was discounted 200 for a Total of $600. There was no improper business conducted. I truly believe shes upset because somebodys building the property next-door to her house. Im stuck in the middle of this doesnt make sense.

I am rejecting this response because:
We still have not received the copy of the receipt and have not seen a copy of the permit for the tree work. He was asked to discuss a discount on the price of $600 and was almost finished work before we found out that the developer said no. I am not concerned with development of the property next door, as long as it is properly planned and permitted, taking into consideration the health of the tree and other issues.
    Sincerely,

I have no problem resending A receipt for your Tree Work. You are not entitled to anybody elses receipt only yours. If you want your neighbors or the builders receipt information, ask them Im not entitled to give their personal information out. If you have issues with the permit, please contact the builder or the property owner. Although the city was on site and had no issues with the trimming that occurred. im still not sure why youre coming at me with negativity.

I am rejecting this response because:
Thank you for the copy of the receipt you forwarded, for our portion of the tree work.  The manner in which this transaction was done, put us in an awkward position We have a right as half owners of a large tree, to complete transparency in areas of the total cost, permitting, and our ability to negotiate the cost of your services. We already know the developer's identification information, as well as the property owners. This is a matter of public record. We were not asking for any information to which we were not entitled. You began work before we had an opportunity to discuss the final price. It is important that you understand our opinion in this matter.
    Sincerely,
