I took four (4) flight lessons. The first three I paid through *****, and these amounts were successfully deducted from my *************** account. In reviewing my **************** statements, I saw I was charged again for the same flight lessons. The school required a credit card on file. I inquired about the charges, and I was told that, yes, they have charged me for those same flights, but instead of refunding me for THEIR mistake of charging me twice, they said they would give me credit for future lessons (which I will not be taking). In sum, I paid three lessons through Zelle the following: $370.49 on 8/26/24, $368.64 on 8/27/24 and $337.20 on 9/5/24. I was missing the payment for 9/6/24 for $347.66 (I approve that AMEX charge, the only one). The office manager emailed me to explain that he had subsequentely charged my **** for all four 4 flights as well as keeping my Zelle payments for the same flights. I requested from him a refund to my AMEX for the three flights I had already paid through *****. He said the school would give me credit for future lessons instead. I have never heard of a business double charging a client and then saying that they will keep the money. In conclusion, this flight school **** has written to me "please come back to use the money we have pretty much illegally charged you and kept."
