  OnApril 19, 2022 I signed a contract with *****, Owner of Arc-One Welding Fabrication and gave ***** a deposit Ck # **** in the amount of $2,585.00 . The total contract was for $5,160.00.This companys owner ***** has made many broken promises to install our Hurricane Shutters. called ***** today, 4/4/23 and his secretary returned my call saying ***** said **** will be out to double check things out on Thursday or Friday 4/6 or 4/7 and the shutters would be installed next week and that she would call me with the install date for the week of 4/10-4/14/23. She also said they had received the materials and the shutters were made. 4/7/23 Called **** did not come in today. He will be over Monday tout the track. I will call before he comes. He will instal the shutters on Thursday 4/13/23.4/12/23 Called **** came and took the measurements & cut the track. The shutters will be installed Thursday or Friday this week4/13/23 Called and talked to Secretary they are out finishing up another job. They will be over after that if it is not raining. If it is they will be out first thing Friday morning.We waited in all day Thursday and Friday 4/13 & 4/14/23.This business a scam!I am 84 years old, a veteran, and have just gotten out of the hospital 4/3/23 with advanced heart disease and any help in this situation would be greatly appreciated as hurricane season is now close by.   I am rejecting this response because:
  Arc One does not want to do the job because they under bid the job.

  He then said the problem was he did not have the slider bottom in ivory in February.
  He was waiting to get it in. ????    10 months later???  I was still waiting!!
  
  
  I told him He could use white for the bottom track as that still would match the window frame color.
  He said that would make things a lot easier as his supplier had white in stock. He then said I will call the supplier this morning and call you back that same afternoon and let you know when next week I can work you into my schedule.
  
  4/12/23 Called **** came and took the measurements & cut the track. The shutters will be installed Thursday or Friday this week

  Why all the lies!!!

  Ace One has the materials per their conversations.

  4/7/23 Called  **** did not come in today. He will be over Monday check out the track. I will call before he comes. He will instal the shutters on Thursday 4/13/23.
  4/12/23 Called **** came and took the measurements & cut the track.   We waited in all day Thursday and Friday 4/13 & 4/14/23. As it stands I will not cash their check and I hold them to honor their contract. I am also out the $75.00 I paid to the *** for the arciticural review board because it is over one year. 

  I can get another bid and Arc One can pay the difference in price if he refuses to honor his contract because I realize at this point he underbid and that is why he does not want to do the job.
