I was told I would have 120 minutes to take my exam. When the exam started, I only had 100 minutes. Pearson Vue claims 20 minutes is allocated to answering the *** and survey. However, during the time they time those separately and that time does not add up to 20 minutes. Further, 120 minutes is suppose to include items other than taking exam questions, how is a customer suppose to know how much time they actually have for the exam portion when scheduling it? Microsoft and other documents indicate customers taking the test should get 120 minutes without mentioning that time being allocated for anything else. I did not pass the test as a result of thinking I had more time. Further, I also took the AZ-*** and was shorted 40 minutes. I was told the exam would be given 140 minutes and I only received 100 minutes, the same as AZ-***. There is an error and Pearson Vue refuses to acknowledge it. Other customers have started the some issue on various web threads. I want a full refund of the exam I took and failed on 9/16/24.

Pearson VUE is a computer-based test delivery provider for information technology certification and professional licensure exams.  Pearson VUE operates over 5,000 Authorized Test Centers.  It appears the candidate misunderstood the difference between exam duration time and seat duration time. This information can be found at  which states "Exam duration refers to the amount of time that you have to complete the exam. Seat time refers to the amount of time that you should allocate for the exam. It includes the time needed to review the instructions, read and accept the Microsoft Certification Exam Candidate Agreement, complete the exam questions, and provide comments after completing it (if you choose to do so)." Pearson VUE will not be taking any action on this matter and considers this matter resolved and respectfully requests that you close this complaint with notation of proper handling of the underlying incident.

I am rejecting this response because: The article provided only makes partial sense. The other issue is when I started the ****** test it said I would have 140 minutes, which according to the article would mean I had 120 minutes to complete the exam. Further, when I took the AZ-*** it said I had 140 minutes when I scheduled it and on the screen before the exam questions, yet I only received 100 minutes. There are numerous issues with the timing for both tests, Pearson Vue is not taking this seriously.
