I called Bloch pianos to have my piano restored. The owner came an hour late to our appointment he set at my house due to "not knowing the location" which is off of a main road and can be put into any gps and found, I have food delivered regularly. He worked for less than thirty minutes, charged me $135 cash on the spot and took a piece of my piano "back to his shop" to repair. He quotes me that the repair "will be much less than $135" but was unsure of the cost due to being unsure of the cost of supplies to fix it. Weeks go by without hearing anything. I called HIM to check in on my piano. He had forgotten my name, my address, and then did the work that day or the following day because he sent me pictures. The work was terribly done as well as the work he did on my piano at the house. The piano looked the same at the house and the part he worked on was filled in and sanded and unfinished in the pictures. He should not be restoring pianos. When he came to my house an hour and a half late from our planned appointment (again he chose the time). I asked him how much I owed him for an unfinished job and he said $135 which was different than he quoted me. I watched him look up and pull that number out of the air. I asked to see a price list but he ran out and said he had another appointment. After being late to ours I find that surprising he cannot stay and resolve an issue for more than 5 minutes. He took my piano part with him and drove off almost hitting my daughter and I in the road when we were trying to stop him, pay him, and get our possessions back. At this point, I filed a claim with the police for theft. They weren't much help and I ended up paying him through Venmo $140 for my possessions back that he had put more damage in than fixed and his coworker dropped it off. so he could avoid resolving the issue. Do not use this business.
