Monarch ********************************************* have refused to supply funds to replace the Windows, Sliders, Doors from hurricane ***. The Third Party Engineer they sent is Bias because he is working for HP Managing. The Claim has been passed from Claims Adjusters to Claims Examiner III like a Hot Potato. The street that the house is on had Extreme Winds Gusts up to 219 MPH. Renewal By ******** recent inspection of each and every Window, ************* resulted in the conclusion that all of them need to be replaced. 11 hours of Wind on this street and the pressure back and forth against the house moved the window frames. This Claim is still open, the Home Owner has the last word. Rosemey Hondares Claims Examiner III needs to look at the ***** of this claim and process funds to replace the Windows, **************** The back and forth with HP Managing and their third party ************ Adjusters has created a Night Mare of Stress for the Home Owner. After many years of payment we had a storm hit our neighborhood. Everyone in the neighborhood had their roof repaired by their carriers. Mine on the other hand was denied stating it was in decent condition even though there's a hole about 1 foot wide and a broken strut from the storm not to mention multiple smaller damages. My contractor looked and stated yes it falls under the same damage as all the ones in the neighborhood. Insurance "engineer" came by and said it's fine. Garage is leaking and had to put temp cover on hole, but it's fine... so upsetting. If it wasn't for loan needing insurance I would've done the roof myself 3 times over. These ppl are crooks.

I feel like this insurance company was a bait-and-switch. I obtained condo insurance fall 2021 for a one-year-old, concrete block condo on a second floor, changing from another company, for an annual premium $914 that included $150,000 personal property coverage. It renewed October 2022 right after Hurricane ***; I made no claims, had no damage, changed nothing for my coverage. Monarch increased my premium by more than 400%, from $914 to $3,748. As I was dealing with community and business matters at that time after the hurricane and for the following months, there was no time to look for new insurance -- which would have been difficult anyway right after the hurricane and still in hurricane season. There was realistically not much I could do. I've now reported them to the ******* Office of Insurance Commission; however I'm told insurance rate increases must be approved by the Insurance Commissioner. Why he/his office approved this kind of increase when no other condo owner in my region has experienced such an outrageous rate hike means something is very wrong here.
