To whom this my concern, I ****** ****** is requesting a refund from the company of Bobs Transmission. I have been having problems since day one of them replacing old transmission with a new transmission, I have took it to 3 different shops to confirm what's was going on with my vehicle and why is the transmission stalling and leaking lots of fluid . I had my car inspected by Toyota dealership and Pep Boys and also other shops . They all told me that transmission is no good and whoever replaced it didn't put a new one in their said it doesn't looks like it was ever replaced . Now my car continue to stall on driving and leaks a lot of transmission fluid everyday to the point I can't drive it . It's worse them it was before they so called replaced it. I have no car and I been out of work due to transportation I hadd to cut my hours . I only ask for my refund to have the vehicle repaired some where else with better services. My car been down for pass months I've had to get it towed several times . Thanks ****** ******

    *** ******,

We are sorry you feel you didn't receive great service from out shop.  You did call back in November 2023 to tell us that you may be having a problem with your transmission.  We told you to bring it in and we would be glad to take a look at it.  You refused to bring it i until 2 days after you lodge this complaint in January 2, 2024.

You drove your vehicle to our shop and dropped it off.  You also did not provide any paperwork stating a problem with your transmission has existed.  We did take a look at the vehicle  and it was determined that your transmission drove with NO ISSUE with the transmission.  We did see an axle leak and told you about it and you chose not to fix it.  You had put over 20,000 miles on the transmission that only had a 12,000 mile limited warranty.  So your warranty was well over with.  However, you do have an axle seal leak and need to have that repaired soon in order to prevent damage to your transmission in the future.  You did run the fluid low at one point because the transmission fluid had a burnt smell, which probably happened with the axle seal leaking.

So we replaced your transmission and stood behind our warranty the whole warranty period and the transmission is still driving like it should and we diagnosed it with no cost to you.  We did all this even after your lodged this complaint with the BBB in which your wrote things that were untrue in every possible way.  We are sorry that you think this is not great service.  We cannot give a refund for a transmission service that was sold and is still working like it should and has already lived out its warranty two times over.   We do wish you nothing but the best with your vehicle in the future.

5,500.00 thrown into a rebuild. Lasted 3,000 miles. Now a total failure!!! 1700 miles to take it back to them for warranty repairs. If the first rebuild had multiple IMPROPER repairs, is the drive back there worth it??? No. I CHOSE ANOTHER SHOP THAT WILL STAND BEHIND THEIR WORK ANYWHERE IT MAY BREAK DOWN!!!!! I should have had 20 red flags pop into my head when you have to sign 5 PAGES OF WARRANTY REQUIREMENTS. And the very last page basically says you will pay for their cost of attorneys if you sue them. I WAS IN A PINCH STRANDED APPROXIMATELY 850 MILES FROM HOME AND THEY WERE ABOUT THE ONLY PLACE THAT COULD WORK IT IN. Another red flag should’ve popped up!!!!! SEEK ANOTHER PLACE THAT WILL STAND BEHIND A WARRANTY ANYWHERE IT MAY BREAK DOWN! THE TRANSMISSION SHOP REPAIRING BOB’s FAILED REPAIR WAS DUMBFOUNDED BY THE TERRIBLE WORKMANSHIP AS THE TORE THE TRANSMISSION DOWN TO REPAIR IT AGAIN!!

I am rejecting this response because: this complaint is mostly because of poor workmanship. Why would I want to bring back (1700 miles round trip) a transmission that got me around 3000 miles before a total catastrophe? Just to have it potentially be incorrect workmanship again? I did know the Warranty was local. At that point that I only got 3000 miles approximately, I chose to take it to another shop, locally and to  forget about your warranty. By the way, my current mileage is 113,752.  Your transmission only lasted 2003 miles I think. I gave you the benefit of the doubt guessing 3000. Had I got any mileage out of it at all, I would have trailered it down there.

The transmission with a nationwide warranty did not fit into my timeframe when I needed to get home Bottom line. Or is I only got 2200 miles proximately. Terrible workmanship.

The transmission with the nationwide warranty was not achievable in the timeframe that I needed to get back home.

    Regards,
