This complex charges such a large amount for rent, yet the living/safety conditions are horrible. I have lost power/water multiple times while living here for the last 11 months. Most recently on 6/25/24 all residents experienced a power outage for 3 days. And again we are experiencing a power outage on 7/6/24. The complex tried to blame TECO, however **** stated there was never an outage problem on their end. There was no A/C in the middle of summer with temperatures reaching high 90s, making living conditions dangerous. There was massive food spoilage, that the complex stated they would reimburse for. But after reaching out numerous times (as well as multiple other residents) have heard no response. There is mold along all of the air vents causing me to get sick, congested, and worsen my asthma very easily. There is an ongoing cockroach infestation that management never truly does anything about (they might spray chemicals for 2 minutes every so often if lucky). There are also holes in the corner of the floors and alongside the front door, making it a perfect entrance for bugs. There is major water damage to my ceilings that Ive tried to address to the complex due to the ceiling starting to give out, large dark water spots, and bubbling. However after maintenance came there was no permanent repair, and visible damage is still there. When I moved in, I noticed a strong gas smell (we have gas stoves). I put in a maintenance order (labeled as high priority) and it took days to get a response. Maintenance stated there was never a smell of gas present or any leakages yet after that the smell magically disappeared, which makes me worried that I was inhaling harmful gases, and putting myself at risk of a fire starting.

I moved into my apartment at ***** in August of 2022, about 5 months ago. Ive been severely sick twice from mold in the air vents and spores in the air. My power has gone out 3 or 4 times now, including my fridge. Management has been fixing the water heating system and at first theyd notify us the hot water would be out, but Ive woken up for work about 6 times now with no hot water, no notice. They dont take me seriously when it comes to the mold. I am asthmatic and they did come promptly when I filed a complaint about spores in the air, but maintenance just came and treated the mold in the photos, which meant they cleaned and painted over it. I told them several times (phone call, email, work order) there are mold spores in the **** My entire apartment smells like mold and I even had to buy a dehumidifier to reduce the extreme amount of moisture. I keep the ** LOW, I turn my bathroom vent on, I wipe down and clean, all the steps for mold prevention. I told them they needed to look at their air circulating system, and they said the maintenance team cant do that, a third party contractor can and the maintenance team decides if the contractor is necessary. Of course, they didnt deem it necessary. So my asthma, repeated sinus infections, the pair of jeans in my closet COVERED in mold, and the clearly visible rash around my eyes from exposure to mold wasnt reason enough to take a closer look at the air circulation system/vents (and YES! I sent pictures of everything). After having the hot water turned off again this morning with no notice, not being able to shower and waking up with a sore throat, fighting a THIRD sinus infection, I am finally filing this complaint. Im worried about my health here. I have even reached out to my allergist for documentation of my allergies and asthma, which I have on hand. I have photos of my eyes, the mold, communication with the management, etc.
