      This school bookstore is HORRIBLE with communication or assisting their students. Last semester I couldn't get in contact with the **** ***** campus bookstore and had to send an email threatening to report them to the BBB just to finally get a response back at 2am in the morning through email. I ended up dropping a class because of the terrible communication the bookstore and professor provided in regards to class materials I needed. This semester I have been trying to contact the **** city campus and no answer through phone or email, I have talked to 2 other location bookstores and they wont help because my classes are based on **** city campus. I've called at least 20 times and emailed at least about 3-4 times and no response. I live 45+ minutes away from the **** city campus, if I don't have to take the drive I wont, but they are closed by the time I get off work, even on their longer days I wouldn't be able to make it there. it can easily be resolved if they answer the phone.

      Hillsborough Community College partners with *************************** Campus (***) for bookstore services.  We have reached out to the manager of the *** stores at Hillsborough Community College for research on the account and assistance with a response.  We will update the response as soon as possible.

      I attempted to obtain my transcripts from HCC on 6/11/2024 as I am applying to school. I was informed that my transcripts were placed on hold due to a financial hold from HCC. I reached out to HCC and was advised I owed a balance of $104.39 for summer semester 2018. I disputed this balance as an amount of $313.17 was paid to HCC on 9/21/2018 to resolve the balance for the Summer 2018 semester. On 6/14/2024, *********************************** from HCCs ************** informed me that HCC accounting made an error and accidentally refunded me the amount of $104.39 in December of 2018 which I had no recollection of. Due to HCCs mistake they have refused to release my transcripts until the balance is paid although they made this mistake 7 years ago and are only just now notifying me of it.I have tried to work with HCC to have my transcripts released as we work through this issue but their has been a lack of proper communication on their part and some of my emails have not been responded to.

      The college is working on releasing the students transcript; however, the student still has an outstanding balance of $104.39. The student can make a payment by logging into ******************* mailing in their payment, or stopping by the bursar office.
