For the last 2 years at two seperate companies where I worked ReliaQuest has been cold calling and emailing me. I have asked many times for them to stop. They have also started calling my personal, non work, number. Once they emailed me claiming that they talked to my boss and that my boss told them to get in contact with me. I confirmed that this was a lie.

    Business Response

    Date: 07/20/2023

We have done an investigation into our sales contact records, and we have confirmed that Mr. ********* information is contained in ReliaQuests database.  However, our records reflect that we have only attempted to call ******************** on the number ************** on two occasions: once on March 1, 2022, and once again on March 3, 2022. No calls to that number have been made by ReliaQuest since that time, so we are a little surprised about the complaint raised by ******************** given how much time has passed. If he was contacted recently by a third party on that line, we suspect that ******************** was called by a different company that he is mistaking for ReliaQuest. In any event, ReliaQuest has adequate measures in place to screen any phone numbers we call against both state and federal DNC lists. Likewise, ******************** never told ReliaQuest to stop calling him (or add him to our internal DNC list) at any time prior to the recent complaint with the BBB.

As part of our investigation, we determined that two other calls were made to ******************** on a different business number in August of 2022, and we do not have any records of any other attempts to call ******************** since the last call on August 31, 2022. We also show that a total of 4 emails were sent to ******************** during 2022 (on 3/3/2022, 6/6/2022, 8/19/2022, and 8/31/2022).  None of these emails reference a boss of ******************** telling us to contact him, and all of these emails have the ability for the recipient to unsubscribe from receiving such emails (which ******************** did not do).

As a result of this BBB complaint, we have added him to our internal DNC list and marked him as Do not contact in our systems. Going forward, he will not receive any further communications from ReliaQuest. However, as noted above, we suspect that a different company is trying to contact him (not associated with ReliaQuest) and therefore do not expect anything to change for him unless he takes affirmative steps to add himself to the appropriate DNC lists (and take any other appropriate measures).

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. Unfortunately, I do not have access to my email account at my last workplace to prove they mentioned my boss in an email.

I filed this complaint as many people at my current place of worked were getting harassed. If possible, I would like them to cease communications with Standard Process. As we will never be purchasing from them.

    Sincerely,

    *************************
