I am rejecting this response because:The statements **************** made are all false & perverse.
A building permit was not required for the electrical work around the perimeter of the pool nor required by the ***** please defer to NEC 680.26. (this is for an inground pool that is made out of a steel or metal structure - my pool is made out of ***************** so this is not applicable) The only additional requirement Hillsborough County needed was an enclosure around the pool due to the pool being buried 2 ft which can be verified by ****** with Hillsborough County. Phone number: ************. Also, by ******************* at ************. This was already previously adhered to as I have an enclosed fence around the pool.
If in fact their company moves forward with filing the lien, in *******, the Company has 90 days to file a lien from the time the work was completed. The last day Charter was on my property was on 11/13/2023. See attachments for completion of work and text message from *****. It confirms the work was done & an inspection was not needed.
onal inspection to ensure the work was done properly. This is when ******* harassment began.I contacted the Chief Inspector, ******************* but he was OOO due to the Holiday & would return 11/27. 11/29 - I spoke with ********** who confirmed the permit was submitted incorrectly & added Electrical for Pump so an additional inspection could be performed on 11/30 for the pump. This is when I learned that the additional copper bonding around the perimeter of the pool is not a *** Requirement nor Hillsborough County for an above ground pool. They cannot approve or deny the additional copper bonding as there is no specific code to go to off as that is only required for an inground pool or permanent pool structure that is has metal or steel components which my pool does not.Rather than ***** taking accountability for their mistake,he is insisting that it is my responsibility todetermine what *** Required prior to work being completed, not theirs.I will not pay $1800 for their negligence or added work that was never necessary
Sincerely,

****** hired us to install a grounding system around her pool. We signed an agreement, we did the work and we called for an inspection of the system. When we called for the inspection of the system the inspector said the lady needed to have a building permit. It was an above ground pool so we both thought it didn't require a building permit. In fact it DID need a building permit but someone (pool company) gave her bad information and insisted she didn't need a building permit. So when ****** called the county and got more bad information about the permit requirement she used this as an excuse not to pay me for the work. I later got in touch with the cheif inspector and he varified to ****** that once you bury the pool under the ground 1 foot or more it becomes structural and now requires the proper bonding etc etc. Even after the cheif inspector verified it and I also verified it with ****** she still refused to pay her bill and or get the inspections done. So now I am forced to file a lien on the property. ******, in an attempt to intimidate me wrote me a bad review on the BBB. I have been trying to resolve this without having to file the lien but she made me look like the bad guy. We just want to get paid for our services. I have been as professional as I could possibly be.Initial Complaint

I am rejecting this response because:Charter Electric is making a false claims regarding the "workers" cutting the said installed wire as well as me doing yard work and causing additional damage to the installation. Charter Electrics Technician who installed the wiring (initially and after the wire was deemed to be "burnt" underground by his own testimony/pictures he supplied to me via text messaging, NOT cut as a result of workers/tradesman) to which the spa STILL had insufficient power to the unit. This is the cause for the repeated callbacks to Charter Electric to have them address and correct the power-supply to the spa. After repeated visits from the same technician, repeated accusations that the cause of these malfunctions was from a cut wire (from Charter Electric's Owner, *****) as well as repeated claims his technician did a proper installation (twice-over), I refused to hire Charter Electric to re-address/remedy the shortage of power to the spa. It was suspected that the reason for the loss of power was a result that the wires had been spliced repeatedly underground without any conduit piping.
**** Overall Sub-par workmanship over the course of 5 visits to remedy the lack of power to the spa and re-installation of the *** (we have pictures for proof)- Refusal to correct the problem of insufficient power to the spa after several attempts correspondence with CE *********** and Owner.CORRECTION ATTEMPS:- Charter Electric (CE) re-dug to a depth of ~18" inches to bury the conduit wire(s) (still no protective casing)- CE spliced old and new wiring together to try and correct the lack of power to the spa.- CE rescheduled a service-visit for week of May 8, but was a no-show/no-call.- There were a few moments where CE Owner demonstrated sympathy and understanding early on during the issues, however, after these issue continued, CE Owner became callas, accusatory, and aggravated via text messaging - refusing to come out to my home after scheduling the appointment - with no form of notification.
As of 5/12/2023 - 5/21/23, I had four (4) additional electricians assess and provide estimates to correct/reinstall the proper cabling and associated accommodations at my home for my spa to run correctly. The additional documents supplied herein clearly communicate the "shoddy" work performed by Charter Electric as well as the actual depth the wires were buried which they installed. ALL 4 electricians assessed and communicated to me, that the initial and subsequent work performed by Charter Electric to correct matters was "dangerous, not to code, not inspected, not permitted" and was extremely DANGEROUS to my home's electricity, and my immediate family. Charter Electric's claims of 'doing good work' have been refuted without solicitation from ALL 4 of the additional electrician's who assessed my home. To replace the entire job has been estimated between $3,000 - ***** Dollars, to include proper permitting, removal of existing wiring, installation of new wiring, and proper inspection thereafter.
Sincerely,

Installed underground wiring for customers new hot tub. The wiring was buried to the depth required and up to code. Not long after the job was completed, customer had some workers doing some outside work in the same area as the wiring. Apparently, our customer did not alert the workers to the wires and they cut the wires. Even though this was not our responsibility, we went out and made the repair. Several months later, customer called and said the wires were cut again (appears he was doing some outside ground work) and wanted us to come back out. We advised we were willing to do the repairs again but this time there would be a charge. That offer is still valid but we will need to be paid upfront.Business Response

Mr. ***** is an absolute liar and a con man. This individual will do anything or say anything to get his way. He is NOT an honerable man. We bent over backwards to help this guy resolve the issue even though his workers cut into our wire. Its obvious ************* didn't bother telling the workers digging that a wire was under ground. The job was done up to code specifications. Even after we went out to fix his mistake he was out there digging again !!! and dug up our connections that were repaired !!! This guy is a piece of work and a bold face liar !!! ************* was having work done and his general contractor was supposed to add us to the permit but the guy never did it even after giving him our license number. So that is why it hasn't been inspected. Again, we advised we were willing to do the repairs again but this time there would be a charge. That offer is still valid but we will need to be paid upfront.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because:
Charter Electric continues to make false allegations and claims to the occurring circumstances vice offer a reasonable solution to the overall matter. The evidence I have in my possession consisting of the various dialogs had with the owner of Charter Electric mentions nothing of any permits, conversations with other trades/contractors of the same. Furthermore, all invoices/estimates for services do not entail nor detail any mentions of permitting needed or inquired upon of me as the home owner. The sentiments of Charter Electric are presumptuous and false at best. I do not appreciate being lied upon and being called out of my name by this man/his business several times now - especially within this platform. I attempted to resolve matters with Charter in the most feasible methods possible, giving them ample opportunity to install the necessary electrical wire/hookup(s) properly, however, based on the eye witness and documentation of 4x new contractors, this overall 'job' performed by Charter Electric was not only sub-par work, but vastly dangerous to my home and family as a result, not to code, and was irreversible to correct.
I have evidence of the shoddy work performed (again) which should be taken into account. We have since paid another $2,700+ to have the entire job reinstalled correctly and have had no residual issues with the wiring/electricity nor the spa to date. And it was permitted. At this point, Charter Electric should be investigated due to their ongoing rhetoric herein these messages, and the plausibility that, if they are willing to accuse and say such things in a official platform, they're most likely to have said much worse prior and in the future about their customers. The fact that a county Inspector cringed at the work/residue from Charters' "work" they so-called did to spec is laughable and dangerous in the same token. Charter should be ashamed at this with all these accusations and shaming. Especially after they'd asked me to remove a 3-star review in hopes to save face from this initial shoddy work - NO MATTER how they tried to fix it, the work was sub par, not to code and caused damage to my personal property. And I had to eat all of this by paying again. *********************** (Charter Electric). Their work this time was not good. Period. Please note, if Charter insists on slandering me and resorts to further 'name-calling' I will seek legal action against them.
Sincerely,
*************************
