I went to HCA Florida Healthcare on December 21, 2024 for a mass in my neck. The doctor on call was unable to help me and wanted to send me to ***********************. I did not want to go to *********************** since it was too far away. I was told that my bill was going to be $295 but since I had no insurance I could pay $250. I paid $250.00 as requested and left and went to Baycare emergency. I spent all of 10 minutes at this facility since they could not treat me. There were no tests run nor was an exam conducted.Over the last 3 months I have been receiving letters from HCA Florida *********************** asking for my financial information even though I was never in ***********************. I have called customer service and they have acknowledged receipt of my payment as well as that my balance is zero. This is the first bill that I have received from them and I am at my wits end as to how to resolve this. Since I don't owe them anything I would like them to stop sending me bills and requests for financial information ******* ****

On the night of June 15th, 2024, I woke up several times because my eye was itchy. My left eye was swollen and only parts of my cornea visible were dark red. My vision was blurry, and I felt pressure and soreness in my eye. I tried to wash my face and calm my eye with an ice pack, but it didn't work. I also have ***** syndrome that also affects my left eye so I was worried it could be related and went to emergency services at HCA Florida New Tampa Emergency around midnight with my sister. I saw a nurse, explained my concerns, and filled out some insurance forms. I specifically asked him how much I would need to pay if I did not use insurance because I did not have the information on me and did not want to wake up my parents. He told me it would be about ***** dollars without insurance and 300 with insurance so I called my parents and obtained the insurance information. I then spoke with a doctor (Dr. ***** ******) about my concerns, and he did not know what ***** syndrome was, so I had to explain. He was then unsure of the causes and told me it could be an infection and told me to get some eye drops OTC at ********* for the redness. The entire visit at the hospital was no longer than 15 minutes and no one was sure what had caused my eye issues. I received a bill a couple of weeks later from HCA for $380.79 which I paid even though they provided me with no services. A couple of weeks later, I received a new bill for $1500, with a new account number, with no description of what it was for, so I called HCA, and they claimed to have no record of the $380.79. I paid even though I have the letter and photo of the check I sent. I continuously kept calling and asking why I paid the $380.79 if I have another bill as well and they said they had no idea what that **** is for. I asked them for an itemized receipt and they sent me a vague letter with the only item stating $3317.50 for emergency services and have since called a debt collector that will not stop calling me.
