    As a local Real Estate Broker it is always nice having a local, custom home builder to refer and trust that they will take care of your clients...Smith Custom Homes is that custom home builder for us. We have been working with Smith Custom Homes for many years; they are honest, committed and they build beautiful, high quality homes. Simply put, they make us look good. Thank you Smith Custom Homes, looking forward to the next build!

    DO NOT USE SMITH CUSTOM HOMES! WE TERMINATED CONTRACT! SEE OUR DETAILED POST AND A PRIOR EMPLOYEES POST ON ****** REVIEWS, and RESEARCH COUNTY COURT RECORDS! ****** may attempt to refute our claims, but we have ************** that defend our position.In our view, SCH used bait * switch * misrepresentation. We signed on 7/22, and as of 8/23, hadnt broken ground; our loan was 2 mnths from being pulled due to NO evidence of construction. 1) After signing, we saw red flags. *** promoted a team of designer, concierge,* ******* mgr. Within a month, our concierge left * we would cycle thru 6 others w/i 10 mnths. Suddenly, the admin asst * ******* mgr were gone, * by end, ****** was acting as concierge, designer, * ******* mgr 2) Took 9mnth for stamped plans, w/****** stating it was architects fault 3) SCH had no established vendors who would work w/them. We spent many hours w/vendors making selections, but quotes wouldnt be returned * ****** needed us to try other vendors 4) We were told we would have accounting of our deposit (excess of $100k). After 13mnth in this agonizing relationship, the only thing we have are completed plans that we cannot own * permitting process thats 95% complete, which ironically moved faster after we notified ****** that lender was threatening to pull loan 5) Seeing there was no ability to deliver in reasonable * timely manner, we requested to end relationship amicably. We wanted to be fair * only requested our deposit. We tried to negotiate terms that would leave both parties on best path forward. Had ****** been willing, he could have redeemed himself by doing the right thing. Instead, he kept our entire deposit * took an innocent intention of us wanting amicable separation * twisted it into something as ugly as accusing us of extortion after we said we would share our experience so this wouldnt happen to others 6) SCH claims to be a ********************** has a bible verse in his signature line. Dont let this fool you!

    Very poor business operation and this is a business that uses others people's money to pay for other things and now are about to file bankruptcy. Please do you due diligence and check liens and other things before buying a home from this builder. This is also the 3 time or so this family has been in bankruptcy. Looks it up ****** Smith and ****** Smith. Used to be Smith Family Homes, then Corial Homes and now on the verge of filing under Smith Custom Homes.
