    Hi, I am a patient who has anthem BCBS insurance and I live in **. I had labs done on 2/15/23 and 3 checks were sent for a total ***** to Avalon that was cashed however labcorp was also wanting payment for the same dates of service and threatening to turn me into collections saying Im delinquent. To keep from ruining my credit I paid labcorp after several letters and emails. ******* kept insisting they were to be paid no matter if I told them it was paid already by my ins comp to Avalon. I have paid both! So this bill was paid twice. Someone should be refunding me as I have overpaid. I cant get a response from Avalon and have called and emailed . I will have copies of the checks soon for proof as my ins comp is mailing them to me. Those checks were sent via my HSA acct and were cashed by Avalon in March. Anthem said they sent the checks to Avalon at: PO Box ****** ********, ** *****. I would like to get this resolved ASAP as i have approx $88 tied up now in what was supposed to be a $44 lab! Thanks

    Thank you, for bringing this matter to our attention. Our claims team researched the receipts provided and confirmed **************** is due a refund, which we are processing now. Avalon received a payment from the *** vendor and the date of service was listed as 3/31/23. This did not match the date of service on the claim of 2/15/23, which caused the discrepancy. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate the opportunity to correct the issue.

    A member of our claims team will reach out to **************** to explain how this occurred, confirm her contact information, and let her know how long it should take to finish processing.

    Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. The delay of our communication with **************** and check processing was caused mainly by a change in staff. Contact with **************** has been made today, the cause and the plan for processing the check today in the amount reported of $44.48 was explained. Our call included a commitment to follow-up with ****************, to provide the estimated arrival date for the check, that is planned within the next week.
