    Complaint: 20778274

I am rejecting this response because:  64 days has passed and I have only received $2000.00 of my claim for a Housing Allowance.  I received this allowance on October 27, 2023 which was for the month of September.  I was initially told by the Desk Adjuster ******************* that his supervisor said my house was not uninhabitable I have this in a text message.   This was not the case.  I filed a complaint with the ******************** and only then was I told they would look at my claim for my Housing Allowance.  I have been misplaced from my home since August 30, 2023.  I have to come up with all the out of pocket expenses and wait to be reimbursed.  No reimbursement received except for $2000.00 for my housing allowance for the month of September 2023.  It has been over 60 days since I filed my claim.  There 60 days is up.  Yes,  there have been number conversations VIA phone calls, text messages and emails that have fallen on deaf ears.  ******************* has continuously and purpose drug out my claim not paying me for the damage to my outside dwellings that are in dire need of repairs and I feel he has not shown a good faith effort to work with me to expedite my claim.  I told him I know it is going to take some time to process the claim for the damages to my home due to the extent of the damages and that was ok but I need to be reimbursed for my outside dwellings.  I have made 2 payments on my Greenhouse that was destroyed for approximately $500.00.  I feel that he has been very bias towards me and discriminating against me since I filed the complaint with the Insurance Comission.

My PA has been calling his supervisor *************************** - License Number ********** the last 10 days to get some clarification as to the status of my claim.  He calls morning  and afternoon and leaves a voice mail for her to contact him.  She continuously avoids his request for a call back.

I receive a certified letter today from **********************, Attorney  at Law for Renaissance Restoration.  The letter notified me of their Internet To File Mechanics Lien (a lien for non Payment).  Letter attached.

I also receive a text from **************** indicating they were still waiting release of payment for the tarping of my roof. ***** has a copy of the invoice that **************** submitted to him for  payment.  This was submitted in a timely manner.

Time is of the Essence that my claim is expedited, payment for my damages are paid.  Since the storm I have paid my insurance premiums and I expect my claim to be processed.

The intentional delay of my claim being processed is causing me a lot of stress and it is affecting my health.

    Sincerely,

    ***********************

    Complaint: 20778274

I am rejecting this response because:

    Sincerely,

    ***********************

There responses back to me are ************* around the issues that occurred with Desk Adjuster ******************* who is employed by Allied.

Yes, my claim was sent back to Security First after approximately 10 weeks for handling, since my claim was well over $100,000.00.  They knew my claim was well over $100,000.00 they had pictures that showed the damages to my home and ******************* just sat on my claims.  I had no choice but to hire a Public Adjuster to help me expedite my claim.  I feel if ***** had not sat on my claim and my claim had been processed timely I would have not had to hire a Public Adjuster which is costing me a substantial amount of money.  I finally received a check for $2000.00 for my Housing Allowance on October, 27, 2023, 10 weeks after the Hurricane destroyed my home.  This is the only payment I received from Security First prior to my claim being sent back to Security First and I had to beg ******************* for it.

***************** with Security First is now assigned to process my claim.  He has had to literally start the process over since he is the new Desk Adjuster to my claim.  Just a waist of nearly 3 months.  There has been some movement in processing my claim and I have receive reimbursement for my Housing Allowance for a total of $6,000.00 and an advance of $2000.00 for the loss of my contents.  I finally received a check for $7,690.00 for my greenhouse on November 19, 2023.  I and my Public Adjuster look forward to working with the new desk adjuster and get my house repaired so I can move back home.

So don't let Allied and ******************* tell you that there was numerous phone calls, emails and text messages because I don't deny this.  Nothing ever came of all these emails, text messages and phone calls except $2000.00 for my housing allowance in a 10 week time span.
