I purchased 4 cubic yds of compost in good faith from Whitwam Organics in 2020 for my four vegetable beds.Initially nothing seemed to grow in the compost where as some of my other friends who used compost from other sources had a high success level in growing vegetables.I noticed rocket/torpedo grass sprouting in different areas of all 4 beds, which my husband and I tried cleaning up without success. The grass grew too fast and the beds were overrun with it. We were never able to grow any vegetables! Finally I reached out the online garden community to find a solution. At this point I was contacted by ***** Whitwam that I was trying to create a bad reputation for him and was told that the grass was there in the garden previously. He visited my garden but didn't find a blade of this grass growing anywhere in my yard!! I was also told by the garden community that it's very hard to get rid of it. Though he publicizes organic products, he suggested that I use glyphospate to get rid of it and grow vegetables in it. When I disagreed to using chemicals, he asked me to abandon the beds and build new ones, where he would supply the soil (again!!), fertilizer and some irrigation starters. Given my health issues I asked him if there was a way to deliver *********** to the plot, but he never replied. Instead he had former employees slandering and using very unpleasant language online. When I disagreed to abandon the beds, given the cost, time and effort to build new beds, he told me over the phone that he has nothing to do with me and didn't want to have any contact or do business with me again (without even doing anything to resolve the problem). I have not added the little details of our conversation, which included him using racial slurs and trying to explain to me what they meant. In spite of all the horrible experiences, I informed him that I removed all the posts just to be polite. I have not received an apology or an effort to correct the situation as of today!
