      Johns by Johns ************** is scamming their customers.. I have paid this Company ******* in specific, several thousands of dollars to build a new Septic tank and drain field system for a new construction in ****. ******* and his crew did a horrible job building the system, i had to chase him down nearly daily for several months to get him to come do the job after he had collected the deposit. The system is built, but it turns out he did not complete any of the inspections required, the county is now on my case for not having it inspected when the permit was active and requests a new permit to be pulled. ******* is now not answering any calls, has been responding to text messages stating he is not responsible and for me (the customer) to contact his inspector to see why they did not complete the job. Neither Johns by johns septic (*******) or his inspector are answering me, and i dont know how to move forward to correct the mistakes they made with the county.

      I had a drain field, replaced by this company at a rental property of mine which they had to put in the front yard instead of the back because of tree roots, They cracked the lid to my septic tank and put it to the side leaving a huge dangerous hole in the backyard, did not tell me about the lid. i found out when i inspected the property after the tenant moved out. They also left the ground on the side of the house completely unleveled.When i called the owner to talk to him to see how these issues can be fixed he said contact his attorney and hung up on me. Completely unprofessional would not recommend.

      The ******** job was done 11 months ago and was done properly at the time and inspected and approved by the appropriate authorities. The ground was leveled and there absolutely was not a damaged lid on their septic tank. What there tenants did over the last eleven months is out of my control. As the owner of the property you took eleven months to make a complaint. This is baffling to me knowing you have complete rights as the owner to inspect your property at any time with given notice. You also stated this job was done a couple months ago and I would beg to differ that a couple months is not 11 months . I wouldnt have had any problem coming and looking at the job had you known how to properly speak to people and not but utterly rude and condescending on the phone. I did tell you to contact my attorney after you stated you were calling your attorney absolutely true. You are well past the allotted time to complain about the aesthetics of your job. If you would like to pay to have your property re raked and graded again please let us know thanks . Also placing sod on the ground after your install is your real problem. Without stabilizing the ground you are subjecting your property to wash outs with heavy rain and wind/ storms destroying the ground. As the owner of the property it is your job to properly take care of your yard. Per your contract

      On August 21, 2022 we hired Johns by John to replace our septic drain field. The agreed price was $4,500. They never finished the job. They left the area full of excessive dirt & did no grading. As a result, the area cannot be resodded.We contacted the owner ******* several times to come out & finish the job. He told us there's nothing wrong with the ******** does not have a grader. He told us he would contact us to resolve the *********** never did. When we try to contact him his business line goes directly to voice mail. We now have to hire another company to finish the work that we paid Johns by John to do.

      The ONeils statement is not accurate. We were hired by the Oneils to repair their drainfield. The repair was scheduled for August 21st. We also set up a timed inspection for the same day. Therefore, the entire job was installed, approved by the state health department and covered the same day.  Once, the job was approved, the technicians covered the job and took pictures. The homeowners were also there at this time as well.  One would think, if they were not happy with the job at that time they would have said something then. No they did not and also paid in full for the job.  We were not contacted by the ONeils until 8 days later. At this time, they complained about their property not being leveled and graded.  From August 21st to 29th, it stormed and rained everyday.  With their property not having sod on it, yes the rain can wash the dirt away and cause it to not be level. They called and complained. They were explained, that on the day of the job, the guys raked and covered the job. They also paid the technicians at this time as well. To try and make them happy, they were told that it was going to be two weeks before we could be back there. We have other jobs scheduled, and we were also catching up from the bad weather that occurred for the last week. This was not good enough for them. They wanted us out there immediately to re-grade their property, which was already done when we covered the job. They did not hire another septic company to come out and complete our job. The septic job was complete!!! When we left their job was approved by them and covered and paid.

      I am rejecting this response because:  Mr. ********************************* the owner of Johns by John is a bold-faced liar. This is why he has an F rating with the BBB. I wish we would have checked the BBB before hiring them. After Johns by John was finished repairing the drain field, we had a landscaper come & give us an estimate on laying sod. The landscaper said we need to contact Johns by John because they did not level/grade the soil as they should have and he could not sod until it was graded. 

      We then contacted ********************** owner of Johns by John and told him what the landscaper said and that we as lay people would not know the soil should have been graded as part of the job. ********************** immediately started arguing and yelling. He said he does not have a grader and if he has to come back, I will be raking with him. I asked him what would be a good day for them to come back and finish the job. ********************** then stated he is to upset to schedule a day and he would call me back later that afternoon. He never called. After 3 days of not hearing from ********************** I called him back to try to set up a day to come back and level the soil.  Again ********************** started yelling and saying he has pictures, and it looks fine to him. 

      I then told ********************** that 2 different landscapers said the soil has not been leveled/graded as it should have been after septic work. I told ********************** he needs to fix it or we would have to hire someone else to finish his job. ********************** then hung up on me. I called him back several times and all my calls went straight to voicemail. He did not return any of my voice messages. 

      It is a lie that ********************** ever offered to come back and finish on ANY day. We would gladly have accepted any scheduled day, however ********************** did not offer a day and just kept arguing and yelling.

      I am now seeking reimbursement from Johns by John of the $100 we had to pay another company to finish the job that Johns by John was already paid to do.

      In regards to your BBB statement.Johns by Johns does not pay the fees of the BBB. When you pay fees you get a higher rating and sometimes we just do not respond to these because they tend to be a waste of time, which then you get a poor rating as well if you do not respond. This will be the last response In regards to your complaint. You were on speaker phone in the office when ********************** was speaking with you. He stated he would come take a look for you, but it was going to be two weeks a before he could get our there. He also said the only thing he can do is use the same machine and rake that was already previously done. You did not want to wait the time. Then you threatened with I will just see you in court. Then thats why you were hung up on. He also sent you pictures of the property graded with our machine. We have a mini excavator we do not have a grader. All of our septic jobs are covered with this machine and raked . Again, as stated, you reached out to us a week later in regards to your property not being level. It rained every single day after we completed your job. When the job was completed, you signed the receipt with satisfactory completion of work and paid.  You had no complaints the day the job was finished.

      I am rejecting this response because: ********************** is a liar. He never offered to come back and finish the job. Everything I stated about my correspondence with the owner of Johns by John, ********************** is true. I have now read some of the many many complaints against Johns by John and ********************** in particular. 

      It appears Johns by John has an extensive track record of unhappy customers. Their substandard work and poor customer service {if you can call it that as they do not respond} is completely unacceptable. This is why they have a F rating with the BBB. 

      I would advise to steer clear of this company. I wish we would have read the many bad reviews/experiences customers have had with them before hiring Johns by John.
