Subject: Complaint Regarding Inadequate Training, Overcrowded Classes, and Unfair Retake Policy at Tampa Truck Driving School I am writing to express my serious dissatisfaction with the training and policies at your school, which have led to an unfair and frustrating experience for me as a student. The most significant issues I encountered were overcrowded trucks and inadequate training resources. With only four trucks available for practice, and most of them being manual transmission, the opportunity to get the hands-on experience necessary for passing the *** exam was severely limited. Many days were spent outside with inoperable semi-trucks, further wasting valuable time. Additionally, we had to wait for long hours to get a chance to practice, which resulted in little time behind the wheel and contributed to a low success rate for many students, including myself.Despite my efforts, I failed the driving test twice. The lack of proper training, limited access to functioning trucks, and overwhelming conditions left me feeling unprepared and frustrated. It became clear that the resources and attention I needed to succeed were not being provided, which led me to attend another school to receive professional training. After my repeated failures, I was informed that I could no longer retake the test at your school, and that I would have to pay additional money to test elsewhere. This policy is both unfair and unreasonable, considering that my failures were directly related to the overcrowded conditions, inoperable equipment, and limited training time that your school failed to address.Given these circumstances, I would like to request that the $7,725.00 charged for this training be removed from my credit report. The situation I faced was a direct result of your schools failure to provide adequate training and resources, and I believe it is unfair for this amount to remain on my credit report.

Dear Ms. *********************** you for reaching out and sharing your concerns regarding your experience at Tampa Truck Driving School.

Our records indicate that you attended the school in 2021 and successfully completed the training program with a final GPA of *****%, reflecting your successful completion of all required classroom work and driving maneuvers. At the time, you also provided 5-star evaluations for both the training and the overall school experience.

While we understand that you did not pass the *** exam on your first two attempts, we extended an offer for a third test at no additional cost. Unfortunately, despite 19 documented attempts to contact you via phone, email, and text, you did not respond to schedule your retest or discuss your account. Furthermore, we did not receive any prior grievance or communication regarding your training experience until your complaint dated June 2, 2025.

It is important to note that of the 24 students in your class, 23 successfully passed their *** exam. Additionally, the enrollment agreement you signed clearly states:
"I understand that meeting the graduation requirements does not guarantee I will successfully pass my Class A *** exam."

At this time, your account has been placed in collections due to nonpayment since 2021. However, we remain willing to work with you on a possible settlement or payment arrangement in good faith, should you choose to engage in resolution.

Please feel free to contact our office at your earliest convenience so we may discuss next steps.

    Sincerely,
Tampa Truck Driving School Management Team

This cdl 'school' gets you pre-hired with a trucking company to pay off their $6,150 tuition loan plus 18% interest. They have you sign a contract agreeing to let them take $75 out of your paychecks every single week to be applied toward their loan. At the end of this nightmare I go to pay it off and find out there are 2 separate missing payments from their false records (clearly no accidental 1 time mistake) and then they charged me extra interest for those payments never being deducted from the loan. They are attempting to say it's human error yet I still don't have my money. I have proof of every single $75 payment (paystubs) taken out of my paychecks. $6949.31 was paid off on this loan. Their false records only show $6799.31 paid off on the loan. I paid $2175 in $75 paycheck payments plus a check for $1524.31 at the end to pay off their false remaining balance. The trucking company I worked for set up through them paid for the rest. Guarantee this is happening to more people than just me here and most people would never notice the missing money. I'm including 2 documents here, one is my final paystub showing $2175 was paid in employee paycheck deductions and the front page of their loan payment summary showing a false balance of $6,799.31 paid off on the loan when $6,949.31 was overpaid on the loan.

    To Whom It May Concern,

On Friday, September 13, 2024, ****** **** visited Tampa Truck Driving School to pay his remaining balance and inquired about the interest on his loan.

On Monday, September 16, 2024, ****** returned, highlighting a discrepancy in his account. He provided documentation showing that two payments made via his check from Total Transportation were not reflected on his Statement of Account. We assured him that we would review the payment remits from the carrier to reconcile them with his account.

The following day, our team examined the remits alongside the Statement of Account and discovered a payment of $75.00 from Total Transportation dated July 26, 2024, which was not recorded. We updated the driver's account accordingly and reversed the interest for that payment. Accounts Payable subsequently issued a refund via Check #****, sent on September 19, 2024, totaling $77.25 for the missing payment plus interest and mailed to his address on file.

Over the next 13 days, our team attempted to reach ****** M. **** to inform him of our findings and corrections, but we were unable to connect through phone calls and text messages.

On Tuesday, October 1, 2024, ******, our manager, spoke with ****** over the phone and explained the discovery of the missing payment. ****** indicated that there was still another payment unaccounted for on his Statement of Account. He mentioned that his paystub from Total Transportation indicated a deduction of $2,175 for tuition payments via payroll deduction. We requested that he provide updated information to facilitate a resolution with the carrier.

****** followed up via email, sharing a copy of his paystub confirming the $2,175 deduction for tuition payments.

Our team then contacted the payroll department at ******************** on ******** behalf, submitting his paystub and requesting an investigation into the missing payment, as our records showed only $2,100 received. We also asked for a refund to be issued to ****** since this payment was never forwarded to Tampa Truck Driving School.

On Monday, October 7, 2024, ****** followed up with Total Payroll regarding the missing payment, reiterating the request for the funds to be returned to ******, as he no longer owed this amount on his student account.

Attached, you will find a copy of the email sent to the carrier, along with the record of Check #**** sent on September 19, 2024.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.
