      They checked my blood work when I first started the program, but they NEVER checked again. They had received my medical records so they had access to my medical history. I followed the diet and went every week. At "appointments", they checked my weight, measured my waist & neck, repeatedly tried to sell me products that were bad for me (such as whey protein powder when I'm lactose intolerant), & eagerly billed my insurance. Even with my $25 copay, in just a few months they had completely drained my flex card (which was bad when I needed an emergency procedure a couple months after stopping). The daily nausea I've had years and chronic physical pain became worse. I told them how I felt and that the diet made me feel sicker with all the fat and protein they had me eating, but they didn't listen. They blamed my weight and claimed I was lying about what I was eating even though I showed them it was AS THEY ASKED ME TO. As fate would have it, my PCP retired and my gastroenterologist's office closed around the same time. My new PCP (top of her field MD of internal medicine who is also licensed in bariatric medicine) IMMEDIATELY requested all medical records from all previous doctors and specialists and sent me for lab work, many more tests than what Medi-Weightloss had checked and they were not good. She IMMEDIATELY diagnosed me with multiple things that she said the supposed "doctor" Jessica at Medi should have noticed right away if she had actually looked at my labs when I started. I had way too much protein and uric acid in my blood and there were many signs of a potential autoimmune disease. There were other things that changed or gotten worse in my labs, but the point is Medi DID NOT CARE AND NEVER DID MORE LABS. Sure, they are kind, pleasant to speak to, and are very convincing. The new doctors immediately told me to stop taking the Medi products because there were "too many unknowns" in them and the keto diet they had me on seemed to be slowly killing me!

      I started on this program. I am a type 2 diabetic. I got very sick and ended up in the hospital with metabolic acidosis. I was only on the diet one week.
