Zero stars is more appropriate. I learned that the following two (2) building permits from 2017 where never closed out after final re-inspection, and balances never paid to the county prior to my closing on the home at the address Plant City, FL 33565 on 28 FEB 2018. March 2023 will be 6 years since these permits where not closed and fees not paid by the contractor. I purchased the home in 2018 from Bodudon properties who is no longer in business under this company name, and their contractor was Hillcrest Contracting LLC. Ms. Erica B. doing the remodeling, who pulled the building permits and never paid the hillsborough county final inspection fees to close out the permits after re-inspections following red tags received. Permit # ******** dated 5/11/2017 has a balance of $877.80, No engineering plan submitted for slab and construction, Never Closed. Permit # ******** dated 6/20/2017 has a balance of $73.15, Never Closed. I have contacted Ms. Erica B. rhe contractor and her father Mr. Craig D. the owner of Hillcrest Contracting LLC. Both stated the fees would be paid and the permits closednout with the county, but then went on extended 4th of July Vacations out of town and where never heard from again. Neither party will take my calls or return my calls. I have gotten the building code compliance department from Hillsborough county involved, they have issued the citation to the contractor whom still has not paid the fees on the now expired permits. I really could use your help with this so I don't end up having to pay these county inspection fees myself for this contractor who was paid by the previous owners. I really appreciate your assistance with this matter and bringing to light to the public this contractors unethical business practices So that no one uses them again in thier building projects.
