12/2/2024 I had my 2020 GMC ****** 1500 at this dealership for repairs. I had the vehicle towed in almost 3 weeks ago. This service was originally quoted for $3200. It was supposed to take a week. 2 weeks later I received a phone call stating the damage was more severe and required my engine to be rebuilt ($10,000+) or a remanufactured engine (******+). I decided that was too much and requested that I pick the vehicle up on the date above. I paid the dealership over the phone ($1,300+) what they claimed I owed them to lie to me about a quote and destroy my truck this had to be paid before releasing my truck. During the pick up of my truck, it caught on fire. The dealership never called me to advise me of this catastrophe and when I went up there they claimed to have no ownership of the responsibility. They claim, they told the driver explicitly "do not try to start the vehicle" the driver claims otherwise. When I visited the dealership this evening, I found out that the quoted prices were not the same as originally quoted (to rebuild my engine was $6000+) so they lied to me to get me to spend the extra money on a remanufactured motor. This leads me to believe the tow truck driver over the dealership. Another frustrating part, they never thought it was a good idea to contact the customer (me) to make me aware of the situation. They also claim to not have any security cameras on that side of the building which I find very hard to believe and quite convenient.
