    We hired this company to put a new metal roof on our house. The owner came over and measured and we ordered the materials. We paid for the permit and posted it as required and paid for all the materials and the materials were delivered to our home. We paid a substantial labor deposit of 50% up front as requested by the owner and he only worked on the roof for a couple of short days and then was unavailable for several weeks. We tried contacting him several different ways with no response at all and we were finally forced to cover our unfinished roof ourselves to protect our home from the rainy days. When we went to schedule for an inspection at the county office we were informed that the permit was still open and an affidavit was needed to proceed with the inspection. They gave us a copy of the required affidavit to get signed by the roofing company and they also emailed a request to the roofing company owner. A few days later I obtained a new phone number for the roofing company owner and he actually responded saying he would come the following Monday and would also get the affidavit turned in and finish the roof. Then and still to date he has never showed up and disappeared again and is not responding to any form of communication?? We simply at least just want the required affidavit turned in and the final inspection done so we can have our roof closed up and finished so we can have peace again. At this point the labor deposit money we paid up front that is still owed to us is not the priority. We tried to hire another roofing company to finish the job but were told it is not allowed so we don't know what can be done to have our roof finished?
