I had an appointment on March 29th, ************************* Premier Heart and Vascular Center. I was told to pay a copay of $210.86 using ******** but I have a supplementary insurance; United Healthcare (ARRP). Which they have on my record at the office because I been there before. I told them that day that I didnt need to pay that and that my insurance would cover it. Either way they refused. I ended up paying because if not they would refuse the service. I spoke with ******* the manager on April 1st she apologized to me and said they had made a mistake, that they would provide me with a refund. That I would receive it in 3 to 4 days. I waited 2 weeks then I called the office and spoke to ***** from billing on April 18 for a status. I was told that they wont process the money to my account until my insurance reaches out to her. Also she had mentioned that the process of the refund may take up to 3 months. I called both ******** and United Healthcare; they considered it a fraud by charging me. They will investigate for fraud but they cannot help me for refund. This has caused me financial and emotional distress. I feel like I was mistreated and discriminated. Im a senior citizen I would appreciate any assistance. Thank you.
