On June 17, 2024, I booked a long-distance move with Atlas Moving And Storage LLC, located at ******************************************************************************* I paid a substantial deposit. However, sometime between the initial booking and a ***************** follow-up email, the company rebranded to ******************* under the same address and DOT/MC numbers.Northern Relocation then brokered my move to ****** Moving ************** On July 19, two movers (presumably from Colony, though they had no identifiable company branding) arrived six hours late to deliver five pieces of bedroom furniture to my upstairs guest room. Before unloading, they demanded pre-payment of the remaining balance, plus a "bulky item" fee that was not in my original quote. According to my contract with Atlas:"Your estimated price will not change unless you order additional services, add items, or exceed the listed weight/cubic feet."Despite referencing this contract, the movers refused to unload without immediate payment. I reluctantly paid and signed the bill of lading. After bringing the furniture upstairs, the movers claimed they were done and attempted to leave. When I requested to check the items, I discovered several pieces were damaged, including a large white streak on the dresser. Worse, my stairwell walls had ***** gouges and holes. When I asked how to file a damage claim, the movers left without answering. Ive since made numerous calls and sent emails, attaching photos, to all the contact numbers and emails for the companies involved but have received no response. None of my attempts to recoup losses or verify the legitimacy of these businesses have been successful. My research revealed similar complaints from others, suggesting these companies might be scams using names similar to legitimate businesses.

Moving 1000 miles away. Broker quoted us $3500. We paid half. Then when movers got there a day earlier i might add, they decided to charge me an extra $1700. Half my stuff was already in the truck before they sprung that on me. Then they say if i gave them another $100 tip then they would put my coffee center on the truck for free. ************* was already on the list to be in the truck anyway. They destroyed my stairway ceiling trying to bring box spring down stairs. When i received my things, the coffee center leg was broken along with my computer desk being all scratched up. Stay far away from this company. They will raise the prices once some of your things are in the truck. You have no choice to pay it and they force you to tip them or some of your things will not be moved. I like to tip if service is good and not being told how much to tip.

Stay away from this company!! Beware, if you ****** or search for movers, it sends a lead to this company who immediately will reach out to you and make it sound so good...they are scammers to the nth degree. They even tell you not to answer your phone if other moving companies call. High pressure, will take your money and fail to refund it if you cancel within the 72 hours. We were scammed for over $2000!!! Repeated calls and emails to this company result in nothing. They even went so far as to block our phone numbers so we can no longer call. They have been reported to the ********************************. They are fully aware of this scam company and are investigating them. Beware! Do not throw your money away. Costly mistake, but we will continue to try to help others and put these people out of business.

If I could give this company a zero I would they low ball their pricing then a week before your move date they tell you that you need more sq footage and raise the price. They subcontract out the moving to garbage small companies that have no idea how to move furniture (and barely speak English) they destroyed my dresser my mattress and other items including my couch and I have recieved zero refund from them and when you complain they tell you to contact the insurance company who is also useless as I made my complaint and it's been over 40 days with zero reimbursement, 2 scam companies that I would stay away from.

Horrible company... They added way more money to the estimate than I think they should have. I don't think they were honest up front. I could see adding a little more because I had a little more stuff than originally thought but they doubled my price. Then they didn't come on the day they said they would. We were lucky we scheduled them 4 days before we had to be out of the apartment because they came on the last day. Then they were at least a week late on the delivery. Finally when it came they said the semi truck wouldn't fit at my place and they would have to get a shuttle to offload onto and have that deliver to the house which would be around $1500 more. The funny thing is that there was only 1 guy in the truck to unload it all (really?!?!) So I ended up using my pickup to shuttle the stuff from his semi to my house. I not only paid for them to move me but I had to end up helping them move my stuff into the house. They should have paid me. Then we had 1 important thing missing and other things damaged. What a $#!+ show.Stay away!

I worked with Atlas Moving and Storage LLC for a move between 2 states (roughly 600mi apart). I was provided an estimate of $2,500. I did not know at the time that I was speaking with a broker. After the call I realized it was a broker but my timeline was very tight, so I figured I would measure everything to a tee on the final inventory call, so the estimate would not increase day of the move. I measured all of my items according to the inventory measurements provided by Atlas and my quote increased by $1000 for a total of 450cf . I was fine with this because I added more items. On the day the movers came (We Care for You - also terrible to work with), the guy told me there was no way my things were fitting in the truck. He quoted me an additional 150cf. and at the end of them packing the truck there were still many items that did not fit on the truck. Including, a Peloton, patio couch, several boxes, and 4 lamps. These are all fairly large items that I provided measurements for and they did not end up fitting in the 600cf that I ultimately paid for. I was told by Atlas the following day that they could perform and "audit" (used those exact words) of my items once they were delivered and Atlas received all of the paperwork from the moving companies they hired. I called Atlas back once my items were delivered (delivery was also a nightmare in which I was lied to about the delivery dates) and stated that I was calling about the audit that they needed to perform on my inventory. The representative then said "What do you mean, an "Audit?" He then proceeded to say there was nothing they could do and would not acknowledge the fact that THEIR estimate was extremely incorrect. He stated that I could try to file a claim with the moving companies, which makes zero sense because they do not determine the estimates. Even if you think you can avoid being overcharged, DO NOT USE A BROKER. And especially do not use Atlas Moving and Storage LLC (now called Northern Relocation).

Spoke with a *********************. We talked about what I needed to move from Mn to **. ****** stated I must put 1/2 down via check. CC was an additional 7%. First Red Flag. Call back in the AM to add more items to my move. Got another agency by mistake. The stated the original estimate underestimated the cubic feet of space needed. I then emailed within the 3 days via email to cancel contract. ********************* then called me back very angry and said, I told you not to answer your phone. Then said I will see you in court! Still out over $1000. Contract states they would keep a 5% fee.

I would leave zero stars if I could. I mad e plans with this company 6/22/24 to have my belonging shipped from ** to **. After reading horrible reviews online to called 2 days later to cancel and have a full refund on 6/24/24. Now they dont want to issue a refund and are offering me credit which I dont want because I will not be using them in the future. I was told over the phone I could cancel or extend the date even up to 5 days before the actual move date. Now Im not being given my deposit of $876. I literally just spoke to these people two days ago. Please stay away from this company by all mean, first off when I inquire about them I asked for a quote from a company called building van lines, however when they reach out to me they told me the name is actually atlas moving and storage LLC . I should have taken that as the 1st read flag. Scammers!!!!

Honestly, if negative was a rating then they deserve it. This company is a scam. Trust me. Basically, the agreement was pack, load and unload. With an advance payment, I was provided the estimate by the sales representative who promised to not go over the quote and that the quote was just meant to lock the price. Lies !! He provided me his mobile number to reach him directly and also the number to the customer representative. The next day, I tried calling the him to confirm our discussion, however he ghosted me completely. I called the customer service number as well as the direct line and got not response. This was in attempt for the 72 hour cancellation period to elapse that way they can cease the deposit. I continued calling for almost a week and got no response. Three days to the move I got an email from them requesting to confirm the items. When I listed the items, they increased the price by $1100. Trust me nothing changed considering that I dropped some items so I can conform to the footage but they refused. The key take away is list everything including down to a ***** size item, if that needs to be moved. Still you are not guaranteed the price. Do not pay the advance because you won't hear from them after. They are a wayward business and should be avoided at all cost. ***** specifically needs to be jailed. He is a pathological liar. I pray he gets what is coming to him.

Hi, my family and I are moving long distance and we needed a company to assist us in the move. We booked our reservation with this company. After researching we had a terrible feeling about this company, we were unable to find reviews about this company and could verify the legitimacy of the business. Then we received, information per our buyers that made a great conflict in needing the service. In our attempt to cancel we were informed that the our refund is not refundable due to the urgent booking clause. However, as a consumer I was not informed about this clause by our representative. We will this was a quick and unprofessional and the business lacks empathy concerning our circumstance. We are greatly upset about this policy and how uninformed our rep was in delivering full scale details for us. Please assist in any way possible.
