    My son dropped his devices and it needed a repari so he found Sert Data Recovery online and mailed them the external hard drive for data recovery in January 2022. They said they will replace parts and see if they can fix it and save the files. If they can't, they will refund the money and return the disc back to us. We contacted several times by phone and then by email, but the communication was difficult. I spoke to the owner, *********************, who yelled at me that I wanted receipts and a detailed explanation of the card payments. He said to contact him via email and not to call him again. I asked for an explanation in e-mail sometime in May 2022 and then he only sent me receipts without explanations. And everything froze, since last year that time we were writing e-mails and calling on the phone, but in both ways no one answers. We also called from other phones thinking they blocked our numbers but the result is the same and they were not answering.We would ask for the disk back to send it to another place, but we could not reach anyone. That's why I finally disputed the card a month ago. The card also couldn't refund the money they charged $149, $349 and $70. When I spoke with this business owner previously he had a very arrogant demeanor and attitude when I asked for an explanation about the payments. To me, this is all an absurd business practice to retain someone else's property, and not contact back with the customer. We want all of our money refunded and our external hard drive delivered back to us.

    This is a long, complicated process that has been dragged out since the drive was received by Sert Data Recovery July 20, 2021. I have not gotten get it back as of 10/5/22. I had a data loss with a 2 TB computer hard drive and they have been working on it a long time. The reason why it has been this long was because I was saving up money for them to buy new head parts to try and recover more data. These heads were purchased 3 different times on 8/4/21, 12/7/21, and 7/26/22. November 1, 2021 I was given a list of files that have been able to be recovered but **** has told me if I purchased new heads for about $280 he might be able to recover more files but this was not guaranteed. We both understood that and so I paid for both those procedures to happen. The recovery itself was $1,240.Friday, April 22, ********************************************************************** Word - I had to copy and paste it into Word because Gmail wouldn't let me save a PDF for that much email info. The only other email response came on 9/22/22 saying he would ship the drive either today or tomorrow which is referenced under document: Gmail - Shipping tracking number request.pdf. There was several phone calls that I had made and I could usually reach someone - either a woman receptionist or **** himself. The last phone call was yesterday (10/4/22) and there were delays due to Hurricane *** but **** said he would ************** and have a tracking number in my email by today (10/5/22). It is now the end of the business day and I still do not have any tracking or shipping notification that the drive was sent. I do not like that I was promised multiple times that the drive would be shipped the next day and he failed to deliver that promise. I'm tired of contacting them about this and just want my drive back with whatever data that was recovered. Attached are receipts of payments and email conversations along with the form of the original problem.
