    I am a health care provider. This lab informed us they would be doing covid testing. They did perform covid tests, however their order form only had one option for a covid test that included multiple other tests that were not indicated. Their representative informed us to use this form specifically for covid tests and assured us that only covid tests would be performed. This was, however, not the case. In so doing they generated patient bills that were not indicated, and then 3 years later have started to send collection letters to my patients. **************** to solve the issue regarding multiple patients is non-existent.

    Maverick Labs has hired a collection agency called ***************** in ** to pose as their billing department, sending out invoices and letters for COVID tests conducted 3-4 years ago, when the company was ********** under previous ownership. They are not honoring agreements made between previous ownership and physicians offices to whom they agreed not to bill patients if claims were not paid by insurance companies.They have sent me multiple invoices for $1156.00 for a corona virus lab test submitted my primary care physician on 3/4/2020. No one in management at Maverick Labs is reachable by phone or any other manner. Everything is directed to their collection agency, which they call their "billing department". The lab supervisor I spoke to on the phone said they are "a mess" and said people are calling about these phantom bills constantly.
