    A company fraudulently received $2,320 from me by claiming they were from the *********************** and were consolidating my student loans for a lesser monthly payment. They withdrew $290 a month for 8 months (November 2023 to June 2024) from my personal checking account. They promised that my student loans would be consolidated after I paid that 8 months (ending June 2024), yet nothing happened. No loans have been consolidated and now after doing research, I realize this was a scam. The withdraw description from my account is as follows: "************** **************-22-2024 @ 0:00 Trace #:091408590522546".

    I recently learned that I was the target of a scam to consolidate student loan debt. Since January 2021, I have made payments totaling approximately $1830 that have done nothing to reduce my student debt or obligations. I have sent correspondence cancelling my policy and filed complaints with the BBB and FTC. I am concerned that the fraudulent company is going to demand additional fees and file reports impacting my credit status.
