      The incident took place in May of 2022. I was trying to rent a storage locker from Storage Rentals of America over the phone in their *************** or Kirkwood locations in ********. I called and spoke with a representative who found a locker, walked me through a lease contract that I signed, and collected $46.03 from me for payment over the phone. The next day I went to check out the locker at the Kirkwood location and was unable to find it, so I went into the main office and the person at the desk informed me that the locker they sold me (that I had already paid for) was not available, had a lock on it and couldn't be used. I was in desperate need of a locker and the front desk was very unhelpful in this situation. Right after I called the customer service line for ********************** where they apologized and assured me I would receive a refund shortly, especially since they were unable to find me any other locker. I waited some time and never got any of the money back, so I called customer service again only to speak with a different person who told me they would be "sending an email" (to whom I am not sure) about processing my refund and that I should hear back shortly. Now over 2 months later I have called their customer service line multiple times and not one representative has been able to help me. They keep claiming they are sending an email about my refund but refused to CC me on the email or offer me proof that it was actually being sent or who it was even being sent to. At this point, I am desperate to get that money back as funds are tight and every time I call customer service they are unhelpful and at some points have been downright rude. As a side note: before I realized I had a problem with my locker, I told a friend who needed a locker as well to try getting one at the same location as me. She went through the same process as me only to be told after she had signed a lease there was no locker for her yet they still tried to charge her.
