I brought my jeep to Julio in june of 2022 upgrade the audio system. Now my jeep is barely used maybe 100 miles every 3 months. He had until the end of July to finish it. He quoted 4800$ to install the products I purchased from ds18 along with a few other ds18 items. They had to be marine grade and water resistant. He didn't use marine grade nor use all ds18 which is what I paid for. He used old used amps except the new one I brought to him. Julio also used house speaker wire. Never mounted the tweeters, never installed the lighting in the dash speakers, never used water resistant marine grade amps like I purchased. We attempted around 20x to get it fixed yet He never returned a phone call nor a text message or even word of mouth. He is over 2 hours away so just showing up isn't an option especially since the last time I tried He ignored us completely! We wound up needing to find somewhere else to fix what Julio shop messed and put in what we had paid Julio to do. We wond up spending another 4300 to have everything ripped out as per the other shop said it looked like he had a pre teen do it all. He had split wires which is a fire hazard he had used speakers and amps that looked as though they were sitting in the bottom of a lake for years. Julios work quit working after 2 days of use. People need to beware of his work and what they are actually getting as it isn't what he is installing nor does he back up his workmanship. No wonder ds18 doesn't allow him to be a distributor any longer.Business Response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/10/26) */ Contact Name and Title: Julio R******** Owner Contact Phone: 352-631-4061 Contact Email: [email protected] First thing the keep is at the shop for weeks because the customers work over the road and I acept to keep the jeep for the time they going to be out and install no just the sound system we apply under that price few parts they need to guet fix on the front end of the jeep they bring a system they buy from a show to install in my shop the jeep have already a system installed for another people the. We don't know the system they bring to install have few components wrong because is not for the sound bar they bring to install I let him now right away wen he bring the stuff is some components then is not going to fit on the jeep because are the wrong parts But I have the correct parts at the shop and we all agree to switch for the crest ones even I'm loosing because the price are diferent I just say ok I do it wit no extra cost they are complaine about the water proof speakers all the speakers we install are water proof the amplifier they bring to install is not waterproof I add another Amplifire brand new not used like she say from Torque Audio because again the Amplifire they bring is not the correct one for run all the system we never use home speaker wires like they say maybe the system before have some cables like that but in my shop you don't even see home speaker wires we don't used the only cable we use is for the RGB lights is a RGB cable then looks like a phone cable whit 4 thin cable inside for control the led RGB lights that cable is just dedicated to the RGB led accents lights on the speakers Wen they come to pick up the jeep we test everything we crack the volume we push the system to the limits we explaine how to use and explain everything is twick correctly we don't recommend to play with the EQ because you can damage the system you can go up to this volume don't go over we explain about the distortion in high volume and what happens if you try to push the system to far they love the sound they are happy whit everything the tweeters at front is suppose to light up they are out of stock at that moment we install another ones and I say to the guys wen we have the tweeters we can switch for the light ones they agree they left with the jeep two days later they call me because the jeep is sound bad I say ok bring it in for check everything they say he can't because they are busy I understand but I always say bro bring the jeep and they start o I'm going vacations o I have and apoiment o I have to do something and all the time they need to do something wen I say bring the jeep in then he want to bring the jeep 1 Monday and I explain I have a buddy day we have 3 cars that day we can't check the jeep that day and they start saying is the only day I have available has to be this Monday and I tell him if sobody cancel the appointment I bring you in but nobody cancel they go out to work again and text me wen I'm in a cruise on vacations I don't have good reception and they going mad because I'm don't answer and they go another place and they say bunch of thing to just charge more money like always happens and now she say the system is not burn is just a bad wirering and she say they pay $4300 just for rewire ? I don't think so. by the way we still dealer for DS18 we just staying carefully watching some items of that brand for issues like this to many problems on DS18 products but that's wat you bring that's what you guys want and that's what we install thanks... Secondly he was the one who said he'd need xx amount of time to do the full installation. The shop also knew when we'd be picking it up yet didnt finish the work in nearly 6 weeks he had the jeep. The items were all paid for even prior to him receiving the vehicle for installation so he had a total of 12 weeks to order anything he knew he needed and the speakers and amps we requested were NOT out of stock for12 weeks. When the only 2 people in the house hold work over the road and we left a few days after we picked it up of course we can't just leave work at his convenience to drive 4 hours round trip just for him to LOOK AT THE VEHICLE. He had said that his schedule was FULL but he could look at it. When we explained we had 1 day yet all he offered was to LOOK at it as his schedule was FULL. When we explained that if he couldn't be prepared to fix it then we weren't driving the 4 hours. Also we had PAID for marine grade speakers and amps yet he didn't install that. Also we had told him specifically that the jeep couldn't be left outside as there is no protection from the elements on this jeep and he needed to store it inside and that didn't happen as our soft top is so far stretched out with water stains now. While my vehicle is home it is parked inside a completely enclosed garage. We did buy a sound bar from a show that he instructed us to buy so we everything for that part of the installation but there were other items such as adding a second hideaway speaker but he uninstalled the original and never added the second. We paid for all DS18 tweeters, dash speakers and subwoofers, plus cone speakers. What we got without being told prior to us picking up the jeep was torque brand tweeters unmounted, some off branded subwoofer dual side yet requested under the seats he put the dual subs in a box on one side. We asked for the lower dash speakers the were light up yet we got just regular ds18 lower dash speakers. The amps he added without our knowledge as well. 2 were torque one was ds18 and 1 was I do t know as there was no name branding on it. None of which were water resistant as we asked for. We took the vehicle but on the way home it started cutting out and the volume was kept lower than he had it at his shop. No eq was messed with. I didn't claim that I spent 4300 on just wiring. I claimed it costed us 4300 to fix all he either didn't install or install the items that were damaged due to poor workmanship. The shop that fixed it explained to us what was installed unprofessionally and not to standards. We also have pictures of the mess the wiring was in. As stated above we had 1 day unfortunately this shop was BOOKED and could only LOOK at it so no work would have been done. So the vehicle SAT in my garage until our return home on October 6th. We attempted to message this person 20x 3 weeks prior to October 6th. No return phone calls no return text message no response when we asked a friend to have this shop call us. We tried 20x yet he did nothing and we got no response until after we were forced to take our vehicle else where have it fixed and then posted reviews on his shop. Poor professionalism. We were never given all of what we asked for nor were we asked to approve any changes he had to make. We were promised videos which were never received we were promised pictures. We were kept in the dark. Also we did mention the issues of the torque being used the day we picked it up and we were told they were better in his opinion. We also asked about the amps and were told that ds18 didn't make the Amp we needed yet when Sent to the new shop they were able to get what we needed. No work should ever be done without approval first. So we weren't completely satisfied even upon pickup that happened a week later than we were promised. Why would we leave our vehicle somewhere that didn't previously honor our request to STORE INSIDE originally? That's asking for trouble. This shop was the original shop and only shop to touch our audio up until we were forced to find some place else to fix all the issues so this shop we are complaining about has now consistently lied and changed their story. Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2022/10/31) */ Mi version still the same all the time you are the one adding and adding stuff trying to make me look bad but I do everything correctly the cables you say are from hose speakers we figure and they come from the towers speakers and the kikers speakers the jeep have already installed wen you guys droop off here , second the jeep sleep inside all the time we have 5,500 square warehouse and all the customer cars sleep inside we don't leave cars out overnight especially your Jeep don't have doors and windows is a open safari look jeep you guys just try to guet money back and and I do everything correctly plus I do more then I'm supposed to do. The only thing I agree whit you is the front drivers whit light because they are out off stock for months if you think that's is not true I can tell you we are waiting for parts out of stock for 8 months from now and this is happening in all kind off industry and the led RGB rings for the dash speakers I have this 2 products available now and I agree to send you the pair of tweeters and the 2 RGB 6.5 inch rings for the front after that is the only thing I can do if you want send me the address and I'm going to sended right to you and I'm done here whit this thanks... Everything we wanted wad discussed and agreed to prior to us paying you and a month prior to you getting our jeep for a total of 7 weeks. I haven't changed my story. You keep changing yours. All audio was installed by you other than when we purchased the jeep brand new and it was stock. You installed the hideaway kicker sub then when you upgraded your previous work which is the complaint you uninstalled the kicker hideaway sub cut the wires so short a bew wiring module was needed to reinstall but the new shop along with the 2nd one we to ordered through but NEVER got as well only to find out that the kicker hideaway sub was some how BLOWN. When you got our jeep it was working yet when the new shop ordered amd installed the new module they found out th3 sub was fired. Completely unusable. Why would we accept parts of any kind now that we had to pay the new shop to order again and install. You don't admit to ever doing anything wrong yet we aren't the only people with this complaint. You have yet to justify wh6 speakers and amps we never asked for and never authorized to be installed. You haven't justified why you used non water resistant Amp or marine grade speakers when that's what we ordered. You still say that the dash speakers and lights for them are on back order yet the new shop ordered them and received them and installed them. You never justified why you installed torque anything when we ordered and specifically told you ds18 ONLY. your only communication was made after our attempts to contact you failed and then our complaint went public. Also your 5500sqft warehouse is more like a 2 car garage that can hold only 3 vehicles in line and the rest is airspace that isn't usable. I know my vehicle was left outside due to the baked on tree debris on my soft top along with the over stretching it endured and the LARGE water stain. Of I haven't said it yet in this response you all haven't explained why you didn't attempt to mount the tweeters you did install that weren't even the brand we ordered. You took things upon yourself with no regard to us or what we wanted. You didn't order a thing you used what you had around your shop to make due and the stock soundbar you returned to us wasn't even ours because it had FACTORY speakers in it and none of the foam that was installed for them. So as far as us getting back all the pieces you removed or replaced we didn't get those either and I never mentioned it until now.
