my daughter had a horrible experience at this studio, she went for an "intensive" and due to a personal dislike of one of the "competition directors" they put her in a 2-level lower class she was 15 dancing with 12-year-olds they separated her from her age despite the teaching staff on the day saying she should be put in higher, dance teachers (especially nonqualified ex realtors) need to realize what they do affects young teenagers moral and confidence,

Yes, Ms. ************ daughters attended our four-day Summer Intensive in mid-June. The event featured four hours of training, each day, over four days. Ms. ********** signed up and prepaid for both of her daughters to attend. The girls previously attended our Summer Intensives, with similar formats and purpose, in 2020, 2021, and 2022. The purpose of the intensive is to provide valuable training, 16 hours with various industry professionals, for $225.
The event also serves as our competition team audition and level assessment for the following season. Both Alicia and Dakota attended the event, in its entirety, and we delivered on the promised instruction. In fact, throughout the week, myriad of instructors in tandem with staff decided upon class placement. Age had very little to do with the placement of the dancers in their classes. We placed according to individual ability and how it was defined by the other dozens of students in attendance.
Ms. ********** would also reveal her displeasure with our proposed placement of her dancers for classes next season. I suspect this is the primary reason she has filed this dispute. The instruction was more than adequate, it was delivered fully, in the time frames we advertised and expressed. Our studio makes no guarantees when it pertains to the highly subjective nature of the quality of instruction. What I can point to, as evidence that her claim lacks sufficient merit, is her long history of account activity at The Dance Collective. Both girls have taken many hours of classes and private lessons with us over the past three years and have never voiced concerns with the quality of instruction we offer.
