We are writing to address the complaint regarding the repair of a black **** F-150, and we would like to provide our perspective on the situation.
Upon the vehicle's arrival at our shop, we informed the customer that a thorough diagnosis was necessary to provide an accurate estimate for the required repairs. We primarily communicated with ***********,not ******, throughout this process.
On May 28, 2024, after completing the diagnosis, we advised *********** that we would need to order parts and requested a down payment of $2,750. We explained that due to the age of the vehicle, sourcing the necessary parts was challenging.
Throughout the process, we maintained communication with *********** and kept him informed of the delays and difficulties we encountered in obtaining the parts. He visited our shop and called multiple times, and we did our best to provide updates and estimated timelines for the repairs.
On August 2, 2024, we informed *********** that the necessary parts were still a week out and that the vehicle would be ready during the week of August 19, 2024. *********** picked up the vehicle on August 22, 2024, and paid the remaining balance for the engine repair. Since then, we have not received any further communication from *********** regarding any issues with the vehicle.
We understand the frustration caused by the delays and miscommunications and sincerely apologize for any inconvenience experienced by the customer. We are committed to resolving this matter and are open to further discussion to address any remaining concerns. Please let us know how we can ensure a satisfactory resolution for the customer.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. We look forward to your guidance.

On March 21, 2023, I took my vehicle to D. & D Transmission to be serviced. I was told they were going to repair it with a kit . Which they showed an example to my wife and I . Like we know this stuff but Danny seemed to know what he was doing. My vehicle was making noises and jumping he said he could fix it . He ended up putting in clutches and a rear seal . When we got it back. A few days later it stopped and didn’t want to go but then jumped and it went that scared me and I called them and told of the problem Danny said bring it down and I will look at it And we did he said sometimes a piece of metal will get stuck In There but it should work itself out he took it for a drive that day a whole 3 minutes he was gone. And of course it didn’t do anything that is when he mentioned the piece of metal . I was having to put oil in regular and I did not feel comfortable with this company. So I found another transmission place. They fixed it right and said the other place put the rear seal on backwards and this new place also put on a bunch of other parts that d &. D did not now my vehicle runs great and my wife and I are not afraid to drive it. Also d & d did not hook it up to a machine to see what may be the problem but the other place did. They charged me $ 3,000. . Of which $ 2,000 was high priced labor d & d only put in clutches and a backwards rear seal. They do not know what they are doing and should not be in business. I want a refund please

    Mr. & Mrs. *******,
Upon bringing your vehicle to our facility, I thoroughly explained all of the details regarding a transmission rebuild for your vehicle which you agreed to. I also replaced your engine rear main seal which is an additional repair. Replacing a rear main seal incorrectly would cause the seal to leak immediately after repairs, which did not happen when we test drove the vehicle. If I did not rebuild your transmission, and simply “reclutched" as the other shop you went to said, I would not have given you a 12 month warranty. If the seal was defected or if it was damaged you are covered under the warranty. The vehicle should have been brought back to our shop as it would have been covered per our warranty description. We are sorry that you experienced a problem. Being in business for over 21 years, it is easy for competitors to speak badly about other shops to ruin each other's reputations. No refund is being issued. Sorry.

The date the transaction started was on 3/17/023 took my vehicle to d&d transmission it was for a full transmission rebuilt I bought the vehicle with the transmission not engaging drive or reverse,. They gave me a price of $3400. Mr. D*** told me that the only thing that was not included was the valve body, I never got a full receipt until I actually paid when I went to pick up my car, which was not running right. It was only one in one gear am I will post the pictures of the two little business cards that they gave me 3/17/23 them $2000 down the same day that I dropped off the vehicle the vehicle stopped running the same day. I picked up the car witch was on 4/27/2023 I’ll talk to them the next day as far as you know that the vehicle stopped running. They kept giving me the runaround talk about that he’s fully busy. He’s backed up to get with him next week and the two business cards that I’m posting a picture of was at the actual receipt that I got on 317 2023 when I go to pick up the vehicle the vehicles not running right on that’s when I found out that I didn’t have warranty cause I bought a refurbished bath body and they were actually gonna put a used one on there, so I don’t understand that part also arm on the receipt nothing says that they rebuilt the whole tranny only says that they put the clutches and the seals which they pretty much just fixed it instead of rebuilding it and really not right because the vehicle I only ran maybe 4 miles before it quick running they had told me that they had clean mop my original valve body that was on the transmission before they told me I needed to buy one from the bomb buddy you could tell he’s never been cleaned got I got it from them when I picked up the vehicle also when I took off the valve body to send it back to ******* the second one that they said was defective there was a bracket loose that holds a valve in the trans and also the stepper motor valve spring was missing , also I paid for a full rebuild. The only thing they did was change the clutches and the seals.

January 29, 2023 my van went into limp mode.
Feb 6- Went to D&D to fill out the “estimate of repairs” PICTURE WILL BE INCLUDED- dealt with Danny, who quoted us NO MORE THAN $2,200 but on the estimate sheet he made me cross out my request for a written estimate- assuring me I had nothing to worry about. $1,000 deposit paid at this time.
    Feb 16- got the van back from D&D transmission seems to be working- it’s not in limp mode. But they did request I pay $3,745 total. I argued that’s NOT what we agreed- so the wife let me pay $2,000 that day bringing the total to $3,000;
Feb 27- the starter went out… I went ahead and chalked this up to my bad luck ??
March 2- my husband replaced the starter.
April 4- Don from D&D stated; after listening to me- that it was not mixed coolants (he said that’s not possible) but it’s actually coolant and transmission fluid mixed from a broken radiator.
Later on April 4-5 he called to let me know that it was actually Oil mixed with our transmission fluid and we have an oil leak along with our broke radiator
April 13- We paid for and picked the van up and drove maybe 4-5 miles. antifreeze under the van- it had all leaked out and clearly was starting to overheat! We took it back and Don stated because there was still air in the lines is why that happened. But we still observed large amounts of oil STILL IN OUR BRAND NEW RADIATOR! Don stated I had to leave the van there AGAIN. At this point I canceled the payment for the radiator/oil leak job.
April 14- Don texted and said he’s flushing OIL out of MY BRAND NEW RADIATOR ??
April 16- we had the van towed home from D&D
April 17- drove the van to see how it was running and the oil light came on and off 2x. Went to Advance Auto Parts and the guys there hooked my van up to the computer and got the code ***** for the oil pressure sensor.
April 26- We look and there is STILL OIL LEAKING from the same spot as before.
May 11- Request for parts receipts denied

On 2/6/23 we received ***** ****** 2011 Dodge G.Caravan it came in with trans symptoms and was stuck in one gear. We diagnosed the vehicle to have a transmission problem. We provided an estimate of $2200 which Sasha signed and agreed for repairs. We removed the transmission and replaced items listed on the invoice. After transmission repair, test drove, and found the transmission in 100% working condition. We provided a 12 month/ 12,000 mile warranty. After the vehicle was picked up the customer brought the vehicle back 2 months later stating that the transmission was mixed with antifreeze(was towed and paid by D&D). We diagnosed that the engine oil cooler was leaking and caused engine oil and antifreeze to cross contaminate. This has nothing to do with transmission repair. Her vehicle has multiple issues unrelated to the transmission. Our services and parts were provided, we do not give original receipts from vendors to customers as it includes confidential business information. .

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because: My van is worse than when it originally went to D&D. My transmission is slipping, my major oil leak was not fixed and even denied to be leaking by Don- I have a picture from another shop and text messages from Don stating that it was indeed low and leaking after they “fixed” it. Overall I was scammed by D&D. Common practices of scammers(D&D) include but aren’t limited to- putting the wrong mileage on receipts; this happened to myself and other customers of his in the same time frame. He gets angry when you question his work. Requests cash payments only. Denies you a written estimate. The math on their invoice/receipt is completely wrong; they just put numbers and ask you to pay what they want. I believe receipts won’t be shown because they did not use new parts on my vehicle.  I have video of the slipping transmission. Video of the math. And pictures from another shop confirming my oil leak. D&D  also  told me I needed 2 out 4 new motor mounts- but all 4 were broke. I believe they did this to get me back in sooner because replacing only 2 of the 4 would cause the 2 new ones to easily break again. Please reach out for more pictures and videos.

I cannot add attachments here because it says “file too large”. I’ve tried 3x
