In October 2021, BBB contacted the business regarding the following advertising concerns:
1) Licensure: Laser services advertised required to be performed by Estheticians, RN's or other Florida "License to touch".
2) Objective Superlative Claim:
"CoolSculpting Elite is the number one nonsurgical fat-reduction treatment used by doctors."
3) Claimed Results including but not limited the following examples:
"...reducing the fat layer by 20-25% within 1-2 months."
"Fat Reduction Visible Results After One Treatment Reduce fat in problem areas for a sculpted body with as little as one treatment."
"Muscle Toning Firm Muscles without the Gym. Get the effects of 6 months of exercise."
"...banish cellulite forever..."
"PERMANENTLY ELIMINATE FAT"
To date the business responded and indicated their business is under the direction of an MD; but did provide further information regarding which personnel are performing the laser procedures. The business did not respond to any of the other items.

1. Basic Principles of the Code
1.1 The primary responsibility for truthful and non-deceptive advertising rests with the advertiser. Advertisers should be prepared to substantiate any objective claims or offers made before publication or broadcast. Upon request, they should present such substantiation promptly to the advertising medium or BBB.

28. Objective Superlative Claims
Superlative statements in advertisements about the tangible qualities and performance values of a product or service are objective claims for which the advertiser must possess substantiation as they can be based upon accepted standards or tests. As statements of fact, such claims, like "#1 in new car sales in the city," can be proved or disproved.
34. Claimed Results
Claims relating to performance, energy savings, safety, efficacy or results for a product or service should be based on recent and competent testing or other objective data.
