      My Wife and I stopped at La Segundo Bakery at 15th Avenue and 15th Street on Tuesday September 12th to pick up 2 9” Cuban Sandwich’s, a loaf of Cuban Bread, some Casitas and Cinnamon Rolls. When we got home and we sat down for dinner and opened up the Cuban’s, I was very disappointed. I have been coming to La Segunda Bakery on 15th Avenue and 15th Street since 1961, my Grandparents and Great Grandparents since they immigrated from Spain in 1921. My Great Uncle's Wife even worked at the school across the street from the Bakery for 30 years, we have had several generations of our family support La Segunda Bakery our entire lives and they have always had the BEST Cuban Sandwhiches, Scachatta and Pastries in the entire state of Florida. I am so disappointed and actually at a loss for words, we currently live in Brandon Florida and will make the drive to Tampa just for Cubans and our favorite pastries. I remember going with my Father and Grand Father as a child to get Cuban Bread, Cafe Con Leche, Pastries and some Hot Tamales from the vendor outside the front door on weekends to start our day. I am sorry to say that what we had for dinner tonight was the worst and smallest Cuban I have ever had, the sandwich was very small, had no roasted pork, 2 small pieces of salami and 1 small piece of ham, I hope that La Segundo is not following suite with all the other restaurants in cutting back on quality, quantity and service. I really do not know what else to say except that if this is the new normal at La Segunda then with a heavy heart I will have to look elsewhere for the great food my family and I have enjoyed our entire lives. Their website says the owner is Anthony M*** and the Location Manager for the Ybor location is Romelia C*******, I sent them both this email weeks ago and neither one of them has had the decency to respond.
