    Company laid cement and installed an outdoor lai. Plastic is coming through the cement causing it to crack. Owner ****** indicated that it was not installed correctly and cement pad would be replaced. Charged us $10,000 dollars, will not return calls to have this fixed.

    This response was taken verbally by BBB:

    The contract states that we are not responsible for settling cracks which is what the customer has. There is plastic in the concrete by code and that is what is showing through the settling cracks. Although we are not responsible for repairing the settling cracks, I agreed to address them the next time we had a pour in her ***** as there is a minimum charge for concrete. Since the consumer choose to file a complaint and post on social media, the goodwill offer is rescinded and we will abide by the contract.

    I am rejecting this response because: He indicated that plastic was causing the crack and agreed to fix it.  It has been 1 year since this was done, and to this time has not fixed nor has responded to phone calls regarding this matter. I have given more than enough time for this to be resolved or for communication to be done to indicate when it would be completed.  He had intention on fixing this on his own if it had not been resolved in a years time. I did post on his business website that I was not happy with his work nor does he return phone calls.  He charged $10,000 for his work, the plastic is coming thru the cement, so the plastic was not laid correctly and causing the crack to spread.  I would be happy to remove my comments from his website or amend if this issue is resolved.
