April 2025, I brought my 2007 ******* in for AC diagnosis and repair. I was charged just under 2,000$. It is not blowing cold. Supposedly it is another part gone bad and will be another 1,300$. I had them do valve cover gaskets in March. My AC had been fine. I am beginning to think they are sabotaging my vehicle to provide work for themselves.

We have been working on your vehicles since February of 2024. You brought your 2007 ******* Entourage in on March 13, 2025, because your air conditioner was blowing but not blowing cold. We performed an evacuation and recharge to add dye to the system and find where the leak might be. You needed to drive the vehicle and let us know if the air stopped running cold, so that we could find the leak with an ultraviolet light.  You came back on March 31st for brakes and told us your A/C was not blowing cold. We diagnosed the vehicle with needing an evaporator core replaced, which you had done on April 1st.When the vehicle left the a/c was blowing cold and working properly.
You returned on April 18th to let us know there was still a problem. We let you know that we needed you to leave the vehicle with us so that we can recheck the car. You returned the car on April 21st saying that the fan had stopped but once you hit a bump it started working again. We did further diagnosis finding that you need a condenser and temperature control assembly. We worked on your evaporator core, which is inside of your vehicle behind the glove box. The condenser is upfront, in front of the radiator. We were nowhere close to the condenser. There are many things that could have caused your condenser to stop working. Unfortunately, your vehicle is a 2007 with over ******* miles and these repairs are going to happen. You have had great mistrust of us from the beginning, at this point I do not feel that we are the repair shop for you.
We have been in business for 27 years and we are not in business to scam the elderly or anyone else. You have made it your mission to go on every platform to state that we are scamming you even before speaking with us about any problem first. I understand that these are costs that are expensive, but we are by no means trying to scam you. We have done all the work on your vehicles properly.
We will of course stand by our warranty for the evaporator and any other work you have had done here. Respectfully, any further work we feel you would be happier taking elsewhere.

Not honoring warranty. I had 3 year warranty on engine paid over 8k to replace. Engine lasted about 20k miles and blew up. They honored the warranty and replaced engine. 2nd engine lasted about 40k miles then blew up. It has been 2 years and 6 months since the original engine was replaced. They are now refusing to honor warranty because I choose to change my own oil except once on 6/15/22 ,when they actually did the service. They want me to pay them $1500 to pull engine and ship it to their manufacturer. If the manufacturer decides they will not honor the warranty I lose my $1500.sounds really abnormal to me. I.have my original receipt where it clearly states 3 year unlimited miles warranty.

**************** had the first engine put in his vehicle on 5/27/2020. The vehicle returned to our shop on 3/15/2021, we replaced the engine under warranty and an oil change was done at this time, mileage ******. This warranty was done at our cost because the supplier refused to cover warranty due to the vehicle being hydro locked. The vehicle returned to us on 7/20/2021 for an oil change with ****** on the vehicle. The next visit was on 9/23/2021 for an issue unrelated to the engine, mileage was ******. The next visit was on 6/15/2022 mileage was ******. Our final invoice with **************** was on 10/7/2022, the mileage is ******. We informed **************** that due to the lack of required maintenance (oil changes) on the vehicle that we will not be able to honor a warranty. As it states on our invoices engines warranties are based on the supplier of the engine. It also states that the engine replacement must have their oil changed with in the first 500 miles to insure this warranty. As our attached item states oil for the year and model of ******************** vehicle should not exceed ****** miles. **************** could not present proof of having his oil changes at the proper mileage to uphold our warranty. The ****** screenshot **************** included was for a 2021 Dodge Ram, his vehicle is a 2009 Dodge Ram. We asked him to provide proof of oil changes and he did not. The attached receipts from **************** have several different reward numbers and names as well as several different credit card numbers, none of this information is proof to belonging to ****************. One of the receipts are even for a 2019 Dodge Ram. We have tried to work with **************** to resolve this issue as this is the second engine we have replaced for him, but it is ******************** responsibility to maintain his vehicle. Final note: every time **************** brought his vehicle into our facility his vehicle had one of our oil filters on the vehicle.

We are including this link for the 2009 Dodge Ram owners vehicles where on page 493 it states the mileage requirements and on page 450 it clearly states that the oil filter should be changed at every engine oil change.

I realize that my vehicle was in kams shop 2 different times both of which should have included  regular maintance on my vehicle.  Of ******** ram was in the shop why wasn't the maintance performed ?  They had every opportunity to do  so.  Their irresponsibility to perform the maintance required tells me that they were neglectful in fulfilling the most standard maintance  service.  I spent over 13k with these people always had amicable dealings until now.  They want me to pay them  $1500 to pull my engine and send it away to be gone through.  If the manufacturer agrees to warranty the engine they will return my money and replace the engine.   If they decide not to warranty the engine  *** tells me you are out of luck and ,$1500. *** told me he had to eat the labor on the other engine they replaced because the manufacturer said the fault was do to hydro-lock.  *** told me out of his own mouth that it was impossible for that to be the reason. He said they were just trying to get out of paying his labor. If they would do that to a company that spends a,$100k a year or better  what do you think they would say to me  ? *** also told me me that was the worst engine dodge ever made and it was a bullsh__   engine.  He said they have had nothing but problems out of everyone they replaced. I take my vehicle to a professional establishment and I expect professional service.  If I go to the Dr. I don't tell the Doctor ******** diagnosis  he tells me . I pay a premium for a reason.  I am not a big car guy so I leave it up to the professionals.  In this case they failed to perform the simplest  of maintance.   My agreement  was not with the engine manufacturer,  but with my local professional car care center.  The fact that *** wants to take advantage of the elderly on a fixed income  is totally reprehensible.  I trusted these people with a vehicle I inherited from my father when he passed.  This vehicle has tremendous sentimental value to me  but not to the extent that I will be bullied , taken advantage  of,  or run over by big business just because they think they can.  Sometimes the little guy has to fight back to keep people like *** from thinking he can s**** anybody and get away with it. So strike up the band for the little  guy even though it will most likely all be in vein.  Shame on you Kams. I really thought you were better than this. Guess I was wrong. I just hope someone will read this and think twice before they let scam artist take advantage of them.

As our previous response stated both oil changes performed by us were past the required mileage. It is the responsibility of the customer to bring their vehicle in to the ********************** shop when maintenance is required. Yes, it was told to him that the 4.7 isn't the best engine but it is what the the vehicle he owns requires. However, if the engine is maintained properly the engine will last longer. The customer admitted to us that he does not change his oil filter, only replaces the oil and on every occasion the vehicle had one of our oil filters on his vehicle when in for any service. The vehicle returned because he ran the vehicle out of oil and it jumped time. Even now as his vehicle sits at our facility it has our filter on the vehicle with ***** miles over due. All in all to finalize this complaint the customer failed to maintain and ********************** his vehicle and voided his warranty. We try our very best to provide professional service and personal care to every vehicle and customer. We state very clearly on our invoicing that it is a requirement of the customer to maintain the ********************** of their vehicle. We are in the business to continue relationships with our customers and have stood by this for the almost 25 years in business. It is unfortunate that we are unable to meet the need of **************** this time as we have done once before due to these circumstances.
