I am filing a formal complaint against Campers Inn RV for deceptive and unethical business practices that have caused significant frustration, financial inconvenience, and a complete loss of trust in their integrity. This dealership engaged in a bait-and-switch scheme, misleading me not once, but twice, by quoting a price, accepting my deposit, and then rescinding the deal without justification.Details of the Complaint:1.I was initially provided with a quoted price for an RV and proceeded in good faith by submitting a deposit as requested by the dealership.2.After securing my financial commitment, the dealership revoked the deal without explanation.3.When I expressed concern, they once again offered a new price, and then repeated the same dishonest tacticrescinding the deal again.4.This deliberate pattern of behavior suggests an intentional effort to mislead consumers by drawing them in with false pricing, only to back out after securing deposits, creating an unfair and unjust consumer experience.Issues of Concern:Deceptive Business Practices: Accepting a deposit and then canceling the deal multiple times demonstrates a blatant disregard for ethical sales conduct.Consumer Exploitation: This is a clear case of bait-and-switch, in direct violation of fair business practices and consumer protection laws.Requested Resolution:I demand a full investigation into Campers Inn RVs sales practices and a formal response outlining the corrective actions they will take to prevent future consumers from experiencing this injustice. This dealership must be held accountable for its dishonest tactics and lack of consumer respect. I urge the BBB to take action to warn others and uphold ethical business standards.Initial Complaint

My ************ Solitude 375RES-R was taken into Campers Inn for insurance work to fix the fiberglass front cap back in April of 2024. Long story short, the front cap was supposed to be replaced with a new front cap along with other work. Our insurance adjuster through *********** had to come out multiple times to approve the work Campers Inn was suggesting. As of today they have a front cap on my camper that isn't the exact replacement and there is areas in which its not properly sealed. Its missing the decals and logo stickers that they cant seem to get in. Meanwhile they want me to come get my camper, which my husband went to pick up yesterday, and the camper is still not fixed properly. Meanwhile, they have taken the insurance money and our money. I've contacted the insurance company this morning and they were told months ago that our camper was complete. The insurance company is looking into this today, as *** forwarded all emails form campers in with all the lies they have told us. I need help at this point to get this resolved. This company is a scam!!!Initial Complaint

On 9/23/23 we purchased a new ************ camper from Campers Inn. We decided to add the *** RV *********** to the purchase in the total amount of ********. When we purchased the Camper there was an issue with the awning outdoor light. We discussed with the dealership that we would have the light fixed and the Eco RV Pro completed at the same time. Campers Inn said they would order the light from ************ and contact us. We never heard from Campers Inn. We contacted them several times regarding the issue and they kept telling us that it was on back order. We reached out to ************ and they said that the warranty request had already been approved. We then called Campers Inn back and they then scheduled us for Dec. 13th to have the light replaced. When we took it in they stated it was actually the casing not the light and they would have to order it. After the customer service that was provided regarding the light we decided to not have the Eco RV Pro applied and requested a refund. Campers Inn stated they would send credit to **** of America, who we financed the camper through. After contacting **** of America we were told that a dealership does not refund the bank, they refund the customer. On 10/31 ********************* sent an email regarding that we had cancelled the service and he needed to know what to do regarding the refund. We never heard back again. We called MULTIPLE times and finally **** took our call and emailed again on 12/11 to find out about our refund. He then never called us back and on 12/12 we called again. He said we should have the check in the mail by 12/15. It is 12/29 and we still have not received the refund and called 5 times today. Each time were told he was busy and the receptionist would have him call us back. We still have not received a call back from him.Initial Complaint

Issue: Failure of the turbocharger on the engine in my 2020 Allegro Motorhome model 33AA VIN: 4UZACGFC5LCMC86010 Purchased BRAND NEW on 1/8/20. Vehicle wasn't used in 2020 due to Covid shutdowns. Date of Failure: 9/23/22 - Motorhome suffered engine failure leaving ************, *******. Truck Up did 2 hours worth of diagnostics on the computer. Determined that it was "repaired". The diagnostics said a new $3k filter was needed and was not covered by our $13k in warranties sold to ** by Campers Inn. Filter did not repair the issue. More diagnostics were done and the tech said, "I'm at a loss. You will need to have it towed." Waited 7 hours after contacting multiple wrecker services who sent 4 different wreckers, all of which were for standard cars. This vehicle is 35' long and was pulling a 35' enclosed trailer containing another vehicle and golf cart. A standard wrecker would not suffice. After continuing to call all of the numbers on the warranty documents, I was finally able to get JR ******** to come and successfully tow the motorhome and tailer directly to *************** in ************ per the suggestion of Truck Up. My son slept in the motorhome in the Cummins parking lot with none of the features working because it was not usable and he could not leave it unsecured. On Tuesday 9/25/22, we were told that it was the turbocharger that had failed, which is why the filter threw codes. I spoke to multiple Cummins' representatives throughout the day. I was told there were no turbochargers available. I was further told that any turbocharger we could get would be refurbished, and would void our warranties and service agreements. We were also told that the turbocharger originally installed in our BRAND NEW motorhome was a refurb model. We were sold a NEW vehicle that should have come with NEW parts. We were dealt with dishonestly and were dupped into buying expensive warranties and service agreements that ended up being worthless.Business Response

I believe this complaint is geared to **** the wrong company. The Wheelers bought a motor home from ** yes indeed they did. ****** miles later they had a turbo go down and cummins replaced that under warranty, i an sure weather it was new or rebuild in the middle of the a pandemic they did what they could to get the folks back rolling, i have no idea what cummins policies are in terms of that. I don't warranty the unit (box) Tiffin does and the engine and transmission are warrantied by the manufacture of those components. They also has out of pocket expense for a def filter diesel particulate filter.. they are very very expensive and unfortunately part of maintaining newer diesel engines. This is something that the Wheelers can take up with Cummins in ******* where they has the service done but Campers Inn as the selling dealer can service the coach only nothing to do with turbos or anything related to engine work. We aren't allowed. The units have to go to Freightliner or cummins. We prepped the unit the Wheelers took delivery and ****** miles later had an issue. That mileage is states on the Cummins warranty bill. Their warranty in service date was 1/8/2020 and the *********************** is 10/13/2022. See attached. I am not sure how they can say it wasnt used when almost ****** miles were on it, regardless of when the miles were put on it. I also in good faith got the extended warranty company to re-open their case and they were eligible to receive some funds back though no extended warranty pays for any filters due to it being maintenance. There is nothing more Campers Inn can do other than service their coach if they wish to use **. But to this day we don't deal in engines or transmissions whether under warranty or not. We just don't. I hate to repeat myself but have no idea what cummins policies are for parts under warranty, new or rebuilt. I know that under extended warranty, when using those companies sometimes they will require dealers to use reman or rebuilt parts on occasion. thanks youCustomer Answer

I am rejecting this response because: the company who built the motorhome misrepresented themselves and the business that sold it to ** did not disclose the turbo charger/engine issue and Campers Inn sold ** additional warranties and service contracts which still have not been addressed. In other words, no one has reimbursed ** for our expenses. Also, we are stuck with a motorhome with a refurbished turbo charger that has no warranty and could shut down the motorhome again at any time per Cummins.
Sincerely,
****** & *****************************
