This tree service was taking trees down next door to me. They werent careful, and a limb from one of the trees hit my 20-year-old Japanese maple and tore the front off. I had an arborist do a valuation and told him I would just file with his insurance. Thats what it is for. He has now blocked me and will not give me his insurance information. He even said that he doesnt think they will pay for my little limb. Thats a $10,000 tree. I planted it for my kids dad, who died night an accident last year. This isnt **************** gone bad. His complete disregard is appalling. My neighbor, who hired him, tried to call him about the issue and he blocked him, also. Absolutely unprofessional.

This is one of the least professional businesses I've encountered in years, and I shouldn't have even needed to file a complaint, because it wasn't me who hired them -- it was my next-door neighbor. My neighbor had Duro cut down trees in her backyard. They dragged her tree through my yard, without asking, damaging the yard, ruining tracks of grass and leaving skid marks along my driveway from the heavy truck they used to pull it up. Again, they didn't ask, and of course I would have said no anyway, but here we are. They began leaving the site just as I noticed the damage, without saying anything about it. I got in my car and chased them down, and caught them at a red light. I told them they had to account for the damage to my property, and they said they were coming back, and when they did, I was there to meet them near my neighbor's house. They promised to come back and fix my yard, and they also offered a deep discount on cutting down trees in my backyard. The deal they offered was $6k for 8 trees. I told them I wanted them to fix my yard first, but if they did, then yes, I'd be interested... assuming this time things would go better, as a sign that they really did regret having damaged my yard. Months later, and of course they didn't come back. So I called them and told them I'm considering legal action. The next morning a man who'd driven a Duro truck back to the neighborhood showed up with a bag of grass seeds, and he simply sprinkled some around, and said it would look normal in 3 years. He seemed very nervous about it, and I knew it wasn't his call to be out there -- obviously the owners told him to come sprinkle seeds in my dry yard. So he did. I told him thanks. I haven't heard from them since. I am very much considering legal action, because no, you can't just roll up and damage my property and just leave. This is an unethical business and they should be avoided by customers who expect reputable and honorable service providers.
