On *** *** I went into the store and purchased four pairs of shoes and three sets of socks. When I first ran my debit card the system froze so they had me rerun it. It came up as decline on the second run. My fiance got out his debit card which is linked to the same exact bank account and ran his and the transaction went through. Two weeks ago I looked at my bank statement and noticed that not only had my fiance's charge gone through but also the first attempt on my debit card had gone through so the company charge me twice for the same shoes and socks. I contacted the store the manager told me that she didn't have time to look it up that day and that I would need to go in with my receipt but I was going out of town for 2 weeks. She told me to come back in when I got back so that she could get it figured out. Today I called customer service and the store and customer service said that I would have needed to contact them rather than the store 2 weeks ago for their Bank department to look it up and that their Bank department wasn't open today. I then contacted the store in regards to this wondering why I wasn't told this 2 weeks ago and the manager said that she would make some calls. She then called me back and said they're a fraud department said that my card was declined and they never took the payment but I have bank statements proving that they took $243.76 twice right in a row on the same day. I contacted customer service again as the manager suggested and they told me that there is nothing they can do and that now I need to file a dispute with my bank. I want my money back and then some this has been such a hassle and is putting me out financially and I wasn't given the correct thing to do to begin with. I could have already filed a dispute with my bank and had my money back had they told me that to start. They have been very rude very unhelpful and treat me like I'm a criminal trying to steal money from them when they stole money from me.
