    My son received his open water certification from sea ventures aka diventures. In the beginning it was a smooth process. We had no knowledge of anything pertaining to this sport. Green wasn't the word! The 1st ********** explained everything very well & was very patient with us learning. My son loved it.Because we live so far, wasn't easy to stay active w/ the company, in addition it was kinda difficult to find peers with same interest. We were learning as we go, that's all we could do. He had to take a refresher or 2 to maintain active status & again the ********** was very informative and helpful explaining the hows and whys. Well April 2024, was his first major dive in *********. Everyone there was pretty much a scuba veteran & older or had scuba parents. I stayed on boat as they dived. They even provided a partner for my son to ensure his safety. The problem we encountered was, the **********, ****** was not very helpful. He explained very little, & pretty much treated us with ********************** My son was lost when it came to logging in information. & was told they would settle that in the end. Because it wasn't explained to him throughly, he figured it would be like the other times. They would go to a back room & do it together. Mind you this is his FIRST major dive. But that wasn't the case, Everyone pretty much had a digital device to log. We didn't even know we were to do it on the app. Because for open water he was taught to use his logbook. Nobody told us different. Once we got back to GA & found out it was supposed to have taken place in **, we were confuse. Like why would he not make sure a newbie was good? & we asked beforehand? Over the months I tried several times to get this taken care of & been ignored & sidelined, & treated as if it was 100% our fault. This sport is not cheap & I have been patient. We paid for those log hours we should get it! This experience made me seek other facilities & not recommend for new black divers.

    Customer was contacted in regards to complaint. Upon research, we found that the diver did have 4 dives logged, which could be the initial certification dives since the customer stated her son has only done the initial training dives. The customer is sending screenshots of the digital logbook to verify if the dives were credited or logged from other activities.
