Carpets Unlimited falsely states they are professionals within the field of flooring installation. The statement found on their website is "FALSE" as there is no one qualified to perform flooring installation at this business. A third-party, independent flooring inspector has validated the homeowner claim of poor flooring installation due to failure to follow industry and manufacturer installation requirements. I have contacted the Owner, ******* ********, several times to warn him of a pending Lawsuit to recover the damages sustained by the awful job performed by his crew of illegals. The company participates in fraudulent activity, ex.) tax fraud, by charging the consumer using a separate business account and failing to perform the work as contracted for. I have referred this company to the state of Georgia licensing board for license revocation due to the fraudulent activity being performed. I am extremely disappointed in the terrible flooring installation that has failed within 6 months of installation. I intend to file a lawsuit in magistrate court regardless of resolution from BBB. This company should no longer be in business, and I will do everything I can to have their license revoked.

Carpets Unlimited denies the allegations raised in the complaint from ******** ********* (Case #********). Carpets Unlimited is professional flooring installation company that has been successfully operating for over 25 years. Carpets Unlimited employees are highly skilled and trained in the areas of hardwood flooring, carpet installation, sand & finishing, and tile installation. Ongoing PK (product knowledge) meetings are performed from various Mill Representatives as new products are introduced into our market to ensure our installers and sales team are up to date on the ever changing trends within our industry. Carpets Unlimited installers are highly skilled within their scope of work thats assigned to them through a combination of training from within our company via PK classes, on-site training over seen by crew leaders, and/or online training for certain flooring applications. Although certifications may not be required for many types of floor installation, Carpets Unlimited continues to separate itself by ongoing training classes as well as onsite supervision and third party inspections when deemed necessary. Our firm currently operates within all CRI (Carpet & *************) standards as well as being a ***** (Institute for Inspection Cleaning Restoration and Certification) Certified Firm. In addition, Carpets Unlimited is operating under a legally issued business license from ********************. Mr. ********** claim that Carpets Unlimited uses a crew of illegals is also false.

Regarding the specific job performed, Carpets Unlimited installed LVP flooring at Mr. ********** home in February 2024.  Mr. ********* first complained about the installation in late August 2024, stating that some of the *** boards had raised and were uneven. Mr. **** ********, the owner of Carpets Unlimited, then offered to perform a full replacement (Carpets Unlimited did not believe a full replacement was necessary and that the issues could have been addressed with repairs, but in an effort to provide good customer service still offered to do a full replacement). Mr. ********* initially agreed to the full replacement and it was scheduled for October 30, 2024.  Carpets Unlimited then arranged for a full crew to conduct the flooring replacement but, when they arrived, Mr. ********* stated he had changed his mind and refused to allow the replacement. Mr. ********* then began demanding a full refund instead of a replacement and that Carpets Unlimited pay for a new flooring company to install a new floor for him. By refusing to allow Carpets Unlimited the opportunity to replace the flooring, we believe Mr. ********* is simply trying to strong-arm Carpets Unlimited into paying for an entirely new and better floor.  Carpets Unlimited has tried to make this right and this issue could have easily been rectified had Mr. ********* not turned away Carpets Unlimited when they arrived to replace the floor. Instead, Mr. ********* has insisted on filing complaints, threatening lawsuits, and making inflammatory allegations about illegal workers.

Mr. ********** statement that Carpets Unlimited engages in tax fraud by charging the customer under a separate business account is also false and indicates a general misunderstanding of Georgia businesses.  Carpets Unlimited is the trade name of ***************************, a registered *************** liability company. It is not fraud, illegal, or wrongful in any way (in fact, it is very common), for a limited liability company to do business under a trade name.  Pro Clean Enterprises LLC d/b/a Carpets Unlimited has been how this company has operated for many years.

Finally, regarding Mr. ********** intention to file a lawsuit, Carpets Unlimited will defend any suit filed against it using all defenses and remedies available under the law.
