      I received certified mail this year on two occasions from South Metro Towing, without having tried to reach out to me by my phone or by my e-mail, citing immense charges for an abandoned vehicle. The vehicle in question was a VW Passat I had traded in to the dealer in 2017 to obtain my current vehicle, at which point I signed over my title. The latest of these letters, in July 2022, was a filing with the ***************************************, indicating over $3000 in charges for vehicle storage. I am now filing the documents with the Court to show that I do not own the vehicle, and I have no idea how it got to ******* (I live in *************). I believe this is predatory filing on the part of South Metro Towing - they listed not only myself (the owner of this vehicle in 2017), but also my father (who signed the title over to me in 2014). I think they are trying to attach anybody's name they can to a court filing just to get money, and I think that is wrong that I should have to go through this. It is very clearly searchable who the last title holder of a vehicle is, and that was not me. I would seek back the $9 I had to pay in certified mail to file my documents with the Magistrate ****** and further I want the BBB to address this practice with the ** Public, I am sure they are doing it with other innocent people.
