    At 6:30am 6/24/25 my partner and I reserved a rental SUV from Budget rental for pickup at 9:30am 6/24/25. We arrived a little before 9:30 am and my partner waited in line. When it was his turn to get to the counter, the employee stated they do not have a car available in that size nor do they have a car in the next size down. There were multiple people there that had reserved SUVs as they were the last ones to say they had SUVs in the city and the employee told everyone even though the cars available online are $15 cheaper, they would only take $1 a day off of the rental for not fulfilling the reservation as it was reserved. The employee stated it was company policy to which my partner asked to read the policy, read it, and the employee's statement was not mentioned. When asked to clarify because there is no policy as described, the employee went on to say it's that location's policy. While waiting for a car because it was needed for today, a woman came in and received keys to an SUV sized car. My partner complained because we had been there first and were told none were available and the employee would not help. The reservation also said unlimited milage, but the employee warned us we were not able to go above ******** no matter the milage. Nothing the employee told us was backed up by any documentation.
