    I paid For the first 2022 year of service but didnt renew or dont even use the service. I didnt Get charge in 2023 didnt get charge. In 2024 they charged my acct. I have Been contacting them for a month. My wife about 2 months. I myself Have yet to speak to someone about the matter. Very bad experience and the lack of caring is crazy. Another business I will Never support.

    I reached out to the business 04.26.24 regarding membership concerns. Received a reply 04.29.24, an email 04.30.24, which I replied to with dates and times to discuss...no reply. Sent a second request 05.04.24, received a reply, provided my phone number with availability for the next dew days. It's now over 2 weeks since my initial inquiry and I am requesting a conversation and price adjustment as the membership offered ia no where near what has been provided. I would like to break my contract without harming my co applicants membership and need someone who can discuss this with me.

    I received two, separate emails from The Gathering Spot informing me that I need to renew my membership by 12/31/2023 by completing a new credit card authorization form. *** stated that if I dont renew by the deadline then my membership would conclude on 12/31/2023.I did not renew my Gathering Spot membership by the deadline, on purpose. The last Gathering Spot event I attended was around the end of 2022. My membership should have renewed then and it didnt. For some reason: on January 23, 2024 The Gathering Spot charged me for membership ($1000) even though I didnt return the new credit card authorization form by the 12/31/23 deadline. Doms latest response to me, paraphrasing: you should have completed the membership cancellation request form. Why did you instruct me to complete the new credit card authorization form by a deadline, IF I wanted to continue membershipif you going to run my card either way? Why did you NOT provide the membership cancellation request form to me at the same time that you offered the credit card authorization form? Why did you do something that you said you wouldnt do? And why did you do it FOUR weeks later? I tried to solve this privately with *** and The Gathering Spot. Originally, he told me that they would not be refunding the money. It wasn't until I shared on social media about this entire exchange that he then emailed me to say that they've started the refund process. That was back in January. Their CEO, *********************, also took to social media to respond to me and ensure that the refund would be issued. I haven't received anything and they've been unresponsive to emails, calls, texts, and their financial institution hasn't returned contact to mine.

    In Jan 2023 I joined The Gathering Spot and prior to me joining I inquired about membership if I were to relocate to ******* ***** from *********** **********. The rep ******** (******* location) assured me I could be transferred over to ******* ***** which does not have a physical club, but rather is labeled a connected cities and membership is $50 vs the $200 dues from ***********. He also made it seem like it would be a seamless smooth transition. I have not experienced that, and I was rather disappointed how this experience has been dealing with the LA facility. I spoke to the front desk concierge on my last day attending and I was advised to send a message. My last visit to the club was late April, 2023. I submitted an inquiry via the app and I did not receive a response back so I emailed the rep who signed me up ******** (****) (email is attached) to gain his assistance. Meanwhile, I moved to ***** 5/1 and I am still being charged $200 a month for LA membership dues. I would have opted to be a connected city member for *******, **, but the lack of professionalism and customer service experience was extremely disappointing, and I decided to cancel my membership. My last communications were with ***************************** from the *********** club, who showed no empathy for my current situation. He also refused to honor any sort of refund, when clearly from the emails it shows I have been trying to get this issue resolved. I was not informed about a form to fill out until July and that's when I submitted the change. I am requesting the The Gathering Spot trains their employees on professionalism, going above and beyond in customer service, and explicitly providing members the correct information they need in order to create a smooth transition should members relocate to another city or state. I am also requesting that my June and July dues be refunded to me and that my membership be deactivated 8-1, as mentioned in the attached email.

    Hello,I am reaching out because I was recently charged the amount of $200 for a membership that I canceled over a month ago with The Gathering Spot. I reached out to The Gathering Spot on August 29th to cancel my membership. I received a confirmation email on August 29th that in quote "There is a 30 Day Cancellation Period, therefore changes would not take effect until October 1, 2022." I accepted that the changes would not go in effect until October 1st. I received notification from my bank on October 1st that I was charged $200 for an automated payment from The Gathering Spot. I reached out to them via phone and the concierge informed me that they would forward to billing (as he did on the 29th as well) but could not provide a receipt or confirmation of an ETA on when I would receive my refund.I should not have had to reach out again to ensure that I have a canceled membership when I called and put it in writing. At this point, based upon past behavior, I don't trust them to provide my refund and would like support from a third party to ensure that 1) I receive my refund from the recent unauthorized transaction and 2) that this does not happen again next month and that they truly cancel my membership as requested. My desired solution is my refund of $200, confirmation of the canceled membership in writing, and no further contact from the business moving forward after the refund is received.
