This is a complaint on an instructor that works for Athens Technical College his name is ****** ******* and his POLs/American government class, which, I took during the spring semester of 2025 (also the instructor ****** for the **** 1102 class if it APLLIES) I got PERFECT scores on the Final Exam; I believe the instructor Dr. ****** ******* went out of manner in going back and besides the Final Exam gave me low grades on most of the material which was all in blackboard online, in blackboard ultra this is evident. The problem is that although I gave a good review in blackboard, it was only because I thought I was more than sure I had a near perfect grade and score for the semester spring 2025; note the review in blackboard. The actual problem and the reason why I writing this complaint is: The deliberate mishandling of my grade/score/print is causing my hope scholarship, I'm from oconee Georgia, and other scholarships to be withheld and lacking to pay for further credit hour courses, in the form of financial aid or so I believe and summer semester isn't being covered and I just don't know of which going forward credits!!!!!I need the BBB and partnering agencies to look into and reach out to my financial aid advisor ***** **** at ************** and fix my financial aid status, I'm currently taking Sociology this summer semester 2025, this is a shorter semester but nonetheless faster pace with a lot more to cover in so short a summer semester 2025, this summer isn't being paid for by financial aid the reason why I'm filing this complaint. I have the portfolio ready for the course I took in the spring semester to prove it, I built a "card castle of index cards to keep" and revised the list of books for the libraries for all age groups including teachers. I know this is enough since I'm **** #1, thanks there's something funny. Please reach out to this college for my financial aid to cover my summer semester 2025 and fall semester there and move on to grad school ***.

After reviewing the complaint submitted by Mr. ******** regarding his final exam grades, it appears there was a misunderstanding on his part. Contrary to his belief, he did not receive perfect scores on either of the exams. His actual final exam grades were 70 in ENGL 1102, with instructor ****** ******, and ***** in ******************** with Dr. ****** *******. These scores resulted in final grades of C in both classes.

I understand that students can sometimes be confused by the calculation of final course grades. To help clarify, I would like to offer Mr. ******** the opportunity to review his exams with the respective instructors, so he can gain a better understanding of how his grades were determined.

Please note that Mr. ********** grades have not been changed, and he is not eligible for a refund of $732.00

    Sincerely,

    ***** M. ****, III

The student mentioned in complaint ID ********, was registered with Athens Technical College for Fall Semester 2023 and received financial aid. Concluding the completion of Fall Semester 2023, the student was placed on financial aid exclusion due to the student's GPA.  Financial Aid exclusion indicates the student is unable to received financial aid until the student increases their GPA to a level established by the college.

The **************************** requires institutions of higher learning to establish standards of satisfactory academic progress for students receiving financial aid.  Based on Athens Technical Colleges satisfactory academic progress standards, this student was not meeting these standards after the completion of Fall Semester 2023.

The student registered for the concurrent term, Spring Semester 2024, but was unable to received financial aid, due to being on financial aid exclusion.  However, the student was able to submit an appeal based on the denial of financial aid for Spring Semester 2024; however, this appeal was denied by our appeals committee.  Since the appeal was denied, the student has an outstanding balance for Spring Semester 2024.

The student completed a FASFA for 2425, but is unable to register for any future terms due to the outstanding balance for Spring Semester 2024.  Once the balance for Spring Semester 2024 is paid, the student will be allowed to register for classes at Athens Technical College.
