    December 5 **** was the date i paid Grab my bag *** for a background check in the total of $11.50 however i havent recieve a copy of my background check neither word about empolyment with the company i have made two calls on December 19 *********************************************************************************************************** which i did already and hangs the phone up in my ears they have a physical address in ******* displayed on there website but they told me on a recorded line the claim that theres not a physical address there

    **************** is not our customer. **************** has not booked or utilized any services that our company provides customers. **************** does not work for our company in any capacity, nor has **************** received any promise of employment or an employment offer from our company, in exchange for any action he has taken.

    ****************' impatience and/or dissatisfaction with our standard employment practices, company policies, and employment application process does not constitute a valid BBB Consumer Complaint or any wrong-doing on our part.

    We request that this complaint not remain as a valid BBB Consumer Complaint, but we are happy to provide a response at this time. Should it remain on your website, we would like for the public record to show and reflect the following information.

    **************** applied to be a GRAB-ber with Grab My Bag. Our GRAB-bers are independent contractors. **************** is not an independent contractor with our company.

    We are very transparent about our GRAB-ber Application Process, and all information can be found on a designated section of our website at www.grabmybag.com/icangrab. Through this section of our website potential GRAB-bers can submit their applications/background check requests for the opportunity to become an independent contractor with us.

     Our application process is designed to ensure applicants are following instructions that are provided to them. Our industry is highly regulated and the ability to follow instructions we provide throughout the process, regardless of the complexity of the instructions provided, we deem critical to employment - in any capacity - with our company. It is the responsibility of the GRAB-ber applicants - before they voluntarily submit their application or request to move forward with a background check - to review and agree to all information surrounding the process.

    On 12/3/2022 at 12:02p, **************** submitted an application to be a GRAB-ber with Grab My Bag. The application is attached, and his personal information has been redacted should this response become public.

    At the bottom of the application he signed and agreed not to call, email, or otherwise contact Grab My Bag requesting a status update regarding his application. We accept applications nationwide and process them based on the demands of the areas we serve, and we do not provide time frames for application processing.

    We followed up via email with **************** regarding next steps in the application process, and on 12/6/22 **************** submitted his background check request to potentially become an independent contractor with our company. At the time of submission, he paid $11.50 and agreed to the following:

    "We are accepting applications nationwide. Due to the volume of GRAB-ber applications we receive, by electronically signing above, you agree not to call, email, or otherwise contact Grab My Bag to request the status of your application. If you do not comply with this agreement in its totality, your application will be denied and you will forfeit the background check fee. By signing above and submitting a request for this background check, you attest that you are authorized to use the credit or debit card that you are providing to pay for your background check and administrative costs associated with your screening for possible employment with Grab My Bag. You understand that this charge is non-refundable and that submitting your background check is not a guarantee of employment with Grab My Bag. By signing above, you wish to move forward with your screening. You will be contacted with an application status once your background check is complete. Your signature indicates that the information provided for your background check and application is true and accurate, and you confirm that you have read and agree to Grab My Bag's Independent Contractor Agreement (ICA), Terms & Conditions, and Privacy Policy. You understand that providing fraudulent application information, or processing payment for your background check with a card that you are not authorized to make charges to, will result in our cooperation for legal prosecution to the fullest extent of the law."

    We have reviewed the numerous inbound calls **************** placed to our company, which even pre-date his employment application with us, and have found the following:

    1.) **************** called our company 6 times: November 29th, 2022 at ****a, December 1, 2022 at 12p, December 19, 2022 at 11:53a, December 19th, 2022 at 1:26p, December 19, 2022 at 12:24p, December 19, 2022 at 1:28p.

    2.) On December 1, 2022, when he called he selected our "GRAB-ber Application Status and Requests" extension, at which time the following pre-recorded message played:

    "Thank you for your interest in being a grabber with grab my bag. Please listen to this message in its entirety. We do not accept calls or inquires regarding the status of a submitted GRABber application, or regarding what locations we are currently hiring for. If you are interested in becoming a GRABber for Grab My Bag, please go to www.GrabMyBag.com forward slash I Can Grab, submit an application, and we will be in touch if your application moves forward. If you experience any technical difficulties or errors when submitting your application, please email ******************************* with a screenshot of the issue, wait one hour, and then resubmit your application. Due to the number of applications we receive, you will not receive direct correspondence back, but once your application is successfully submitted, we will be in touch if you move forward in the process. Thank you for your interest in Grab My Bag! This call will now disconnect."

    3.) After receiving this information, **************** now knowing the process, applied to be a GRAB-ber (12/3/22) and after submitting, was immediately redirected to a confirmation page that provided him with the following information:

    "GRAB-ber Application Received!

    Thank you for your application and interest in becoming a GRAB-ber with Grab My Bag!

    We are accepting applications nationwide.

    Due to the volume of applications we receive, we ask that you not call, email, or otherwise contact Grab My Bag regarding the status of your application. Doing so will result in your application being denied and you will forfeit the background check fee.

    We will be in touch if your application moves forward.

    Thank you!"

    4.) Then on 12/6/22 he submitted his background check request, and following his successful submission, he was immediately redirected to a confirmation page that provided him with the following information:

    "GRAB-ber Background Check Request Received!

    Thank you for your application and interest in becoming a GRAB-ber with Grab My Bag!

    We are accepting applications nationwide.

    Due to the volume of applications we receive, we ask that you not call, email, or otherwise contact Grab My Bag regarding the status of your application. Doing so will result in your application being denied and you will forfeit the background check fee.

    We will be in touch if your application moves forward.

    Thank you!

    Grab My Bag Team"

    ****************, despite having all of the information provided above, continued to call our company and during these calls he provided our ******* location address asking if we were at that address, refusing to give his information, requesting to speak with management, and then when asked if he was calling regarding employment he specifically stated "no."

    He continued to refuse to provide requested information, and continued to call our headquarters, disconnecting the calls only to callback and select a different extension, harassing our employees.

    He filed this complaint with a different email address than the one he applied with, further limiting our ability to locate his application or to assist him quickly. Should an actual request for the withdrawal of his application or for a refund of his background check fee actually have been made, which it never was, we would have happily done so for *****************

    As a courtesy, we have gladly refunded the $11.50 that **************** paid on 12/6/22 for a background check and administrative fees. Refunds may take **** days to appear on his end, depending on his financial institution, but if he has questions regarding the posting of his refund, he should contact his financial institution directly.

    We have also withdrawn **************** GRAB-ber Application.

    We wish **************** all the best in his future endeavors and respectfully request he not contact our company moving forward.
