    On January 15, 2022, I had new flooring (Core-Tex product by ****) installed in my kitchen and mudroom by ************************* with Floor Coverings International. Although I was initially quite pleased with the results, by April of the same year, the flooring began to chip along the edges. ******'s team was responsive, reported back to me that the issue was with the sub-floor not being adequately leveled, and replaced the damaged tiles. Unfortunately, this did not fix the problem, and her team came out on three different occasions to replace tiles, which have continued to chip and break apart. I contacted ****** again about the issue again in April of this year (2023). She told me know that she had sold the business to a company called Floor Coverings International and had no legal responsibility to help me. I have spoken with **** about the Core-Tec product that was installed, reviewed ****** installation instructions, and I have also had another flooring company come out to assess the flooring. This company has made it clear that the previous flooring was not installed correctly due to sub-floor leveling issues, which is also what ****** said the problem was. The existing flooring continues to deteriorate with only moderate foot traffic, and my son has even had his foot caught on nails that are protruding from the floor. The flooring will have to be replaced, both for safety and cosmetic purposes. It is patently clear that ******'s team failed to properly install the flooring due to sub-floor issues. I have photos, texts, and emails that chronicle all of this.I paid $3455.22 for the installation of the flooring, which is no longer usable. The quote I have received from the new company is nearly $6000 and will require full replacement of the existing flooring (including sub-floor leveling). I have requested a full refund, or alternatively to have the issues with the flooring addressed and fully resolved, but have been told that she abdicates responsibility.
